However, it is still likeliest that the song is BTBS. I just need some actual "proof" or sources of this other than the indication that is the R&H DVD.

So if anyone has anything to add, please go ahead.

I like the Achtung Baby, The Unforgettable Fire and The Joshua Tree a lot.

I am not so fond of the October, ...Atomic Bomb and No Line On the Horizon covers.

i don't have real proof for you, but the cover shot was definitely a studio shot. I read the full story way back then: when they were putting together the film, the band was very impressed with the torchlight scene on stage (the way it came out in black & white). So, being the perfectionists they are, they decided not to use the stage shot itself but to re-enact it in a studio to get a better quality image.

I may have read this in an old Propaganda issue, but I'm not sure (I killed quite a few braincells since then

)

Okay, now I DO have the proof; it can be found in Anton Corbijn's book "U2 & I" (page 169 to be precise).

For those who don't have the book;

Los Angeles 1988

Rattle and Hum was not a project that I was closely involved in at all. I just came over to LA for about a week to do some pressphotos and to have a go at the albumcover. We ended up travelling to SF for the pressphotos; I rented a photostudio to recreate a moment from U2's stageshow - the moment where Bono shines a spotlight on to Edge's guitar during 'bullet the blue sky'. An attempt had been made to use a live photo of this act but that hadn't worked out. The owner of the studio, a very nice french photographer living in LA, helped saving the day by supplying me with some smoke during the shoot as I had forgotten that basic rule; no light visible without smoke! You could say I was a little stressed out.
