  1. Not talking about weapons but political support.

    If they attack Iran and someone attacks Israel, they'd really would like someone to have their back. Less likely to happen if you start wars on your own.
  2. Play defense, and let Iran make the first move. israel has one of the better Air forces in the region. They could probally handle an Iranian assault fairly easily, and then launch a counter-attack.
  3. I really doubt Iran is that stupid. Anyway it could start WW3.

  7. Actually, Israel could have the support of some Arab states on this as Iran becoming a dominant power in the region is not good for them either.
