  2. Yeah that would be awesome.

I personally think we're in for a big suprise coming this new leg. I have a feeling they will want to experiment more. Maybe wishful thinking but how could you not with a 360 stage like that?!?
  3. Just, please, give us some POP material! After bringing back TUF and Ultraviolet, that would mean 360 is definitely a great tour.
  4. These days I don't care what they play, as long as they differ the setlist by around 10 songs. More October and Pop stuff is highly welcome and hoped for....and One Tree Hill....and...*sigh*

I wonder that all the time! Unfortunately most bands I've seen do this. Tool, Muse , deftones just to name a few lol. One band that never does this is Pearl Jam. First 11 shows of their 2010 US tour 11 diff openers! I seen them 3 times in May and seen 76 diff songs played! If only U2 did half of that!

pearl jam also has all their live shows available to purchase as a bootleg, i wish U2 did that too
  7. i think the reason for lack of diversity is

    a) laziness, and, more importantly b) the fact that the claw has to be programmed with a different light show and synced, with backing loops prepared etc. for every song.

contrast this with PJ, who's shows (whilst brilliant) have a fairly basic stage setup. that's why they can change and swap songs more easily, without worrying about a claw to rig.
  8. Yeah your'e right mate.

But it is sooooo frustrating with U2 having 150 great, well amazing songs to use, its just lazyness and so annoying!

And that's why they swapped songs more on Elevation and Vertigo.

I think this is a great point but lets face it, I know there was some diversity on the "back to basics" tour (Elevation, Vertigo) due to less programming but you pretty much know the songs you'll never hear even on those tours. They will never play any good b sides while PJ played 3 just in the first show I went to. Im def not bashing U2 and am a bigger fan of them than PJ but wish U2 was a little more balls out rock n roll live like PJ. Not scared to fuck up a song because of lack of playing it, longer set, diff openers, diff closers. I mean even when Bono interacts with the crowd its scripted. Same speaches all tour before the same songs. Lets hope the boys prove me wrong and deliver a different set this tour and try some new things.

  11. Tell me about it! I own all 11 shows that I attended from PJ. All professionally mixed and recorded! Love the bootlegs from this site but lets face it, nothing beats a pro version.
  12. Let's toss "Still Haven't Found" from earlier in the set and hear "Out of Control" towards the end to spice up the predictable greatest hits at the end.

    Get On Your Boots
    Magnificent
    Stand Up Comedy
    Mysterious Ways
    Beautiful Day
    The Fly
    No Line on the Horizon
Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of
I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
Until the End of the World
    The Unforgettable Fire
    Vertigo
    Sunday Bloody Sunday
    Walk On
    Out of Control
    (Tutu)
    One
Where the Streets Have No Name
    -
Soon/HMTMKMKM (Whoever suggested this up there is genius)
    Breathe
    Ultraviolet
    Moment of Surrender

    Reasonings...

-I still have my heart and mind set on them bringing "The Fly" back for the new legs. I would put money on it happening before the Euro leg is over this autumn.
-They'll keep playing "Stuck" to have some acoustic stuff in there, its unavoidable. Maybe rotate it with "Stay" if we're lucky.
-I would have put "The Fly" right before "Vertigo", but based on Willie's call for help on sending in questions to be used onscreen and what not, I doubt the screen will be expanded for the song, and there's no way they'll switch up the format of "Vertigo" with it being a strobe light. I predict they keep TUF to bring down the screen. Awesome light show with that song, too.
-In line with my prediction for "The Fly", I'm thinking for some reason they're going to break it out early in the set. They always change set positions of stuff for different tours- every song on this tour (Bar Streets, One, and Ultraviolet) has almost a brand new time-slot different than any other tour. "The Fly" been played in the top 3, the end of the main set, and in the encore...only so many places left for it to go.
-Dropping "Breathe" just doesn't seem right to me.
