1. To the 5th song on Zooropa I'd say, although we got your point.
  2. I love the version from the Rose Bowl, especially Bono at the end. My favorite version of all time remains the SNL version they played....Its close though

I love that too and I'd nearly classify it as perfect except for the flub on the lyrics. Bono says "speeding" while the band says "punching" and we get "sp-punching..."

ya thats the only thing that brings it down a bit, however its only a minor blip for me the rest of the performance considered.

I just don't like it because it doesn't seem to go anywhere
Normally a song gently goes to a climax, this one seems to be at the same level all of the time...

Agree BB. It seemed to gain great favour as it was done in a single take thus making it a great feat.

I also agree that its at the same level all the way through and unfortunately, its a dull level all the way through.

Id love to see it dropped this year but doubt it will happen

  6. yeah, i love the psuedo-rap bit at the end. is that the only time he did it? i've not been keeping up with the 360 bootlegs as well as i should.

I know he did it at SNL. So my guess is that it started around then and continued on? It's just a guess though and I could be totally wrong.
  8. Im starting to hear this song in restaurants and stores, i dont know why, but i find that interesting..

SNL was slightly better, but the dvd has added vocals, 'cause I remember he sang some lines of it, but not the whole thing. It's great though. Bring back the 'we set ourselves on fire' verse though. He always sings that so so beautifully.
  10. Bono also used the lyric 'Vision over visibility' in a live performance of Rocking in the Free World (with Pearl Jam) in Australia, for the Make Poverty History festival in 2006. I think it has been on his mind for some time. The lyric, that is.
  11. Ok, so I don't dislike this song as much now.

  12. I hated this song at first, along with Unknown Caller it was the only one I always skipped on the album. Until I heard it at the Rose Bowl, that ending is awesome. Now I think it's one of the albums best, but only live. IMO it sounds better live.
Still don't see why it was voted best of 2010 though.
