1. congrats, neighbors

it wasn't the best of games, again, but the goals were good ones, and it was tense during the last minutes, as Uruguay shot the 2:3 and fought for the 3:3 -- but all in all, the South Americans didn't do enough to win, so out of this match Holland deserves to be in the final.

Oranje, we're coming right at ya, get ready

  2. in 2006 the Italians never impressed at all. and won

    Well, I hope!

Guess they showed a different game here.

  5. The italians never impress, they have probably the worst game of the whole world.

  6. I found both teams boring, but Holland made the goals and after that Uruguay didn't get their butts up and fight, so.... anyway, won't get down in history as the most entertaining match..... no matter which version each of us saw

    I wouldn't count on that.

Pick up a Europe map and look at the bottom-left. You'll see a small peninsula there, and the two countries that are there: Portugal and (surprise!), Spain. Spain is a small 44-million country that is a democracy since only 32 years ago and has a 18% of unemployment. And, (surprise!) it has the best football team in the world.

  8. hahaha you may allow me to politely disagree, my Spanish friend

Would be curious about the correlation between unemployment rate and political form of a state and the footbal skills of the national team...

Btw. I'd prefer losing against Spain in the semifinal over losing against Holland anytime.

  10. Don't be so negative. Gernany and Brazil (before they fell apart) have been the only convincing teams so far.

  11. I don't say Germany will lose... just in case

Villa against Mertesacker or Friedrich would give me a little nightmare, hope Del Bosque keeps him on the left and Torres in the center. Müller being out will hurt

Who scores first will win the match imo.
