that's so true. you can have the best team of all -- and I think we can agree that our German team doesn't play too bad this time -- and still a crap team somehow makes its way until to the final. No means to say Spain is crap, I mean this in general. There is always a good amount of luck involved, too, that's why it's a game.
Paul the octopus was wrong in 2008 for once, so we hope he's wrong again this time
Tonight..... tonight..... we sing play..... for our sanity..... come on, boys, don't let us down now

I'd let Forlan shoot from 30m as well, its part of the risk. Keeper could have stopped that shot.

Fair point on the backpass, I'd forgotten about that I wouldn't have let Forlan anywhere near the halfway line personally lol, when you think that nearly all the goals he's scored this tournament have come from twatting it from a good 30 yards out, you'd have hoped the defenders would have known to close him down sharpish! But that's the beauty of hindsight
  5. That was almost a disastrous back pass by Boulahrouz. Still I think he didn't play that bad.

  6. I think anyone here will be drunk for a couple of weeks. This country will blow up, look at this at the Museumplein in Amsterdam last night, with I guess 50-60.000 people. Sunday's gonna be even more insane.

I really hope Germany will win. They are playing the best football I've seen in years, and in the last 6 years they have worked so hard, and so well, to get were they are now. Here's a very nice article by Klinsmann, explaining what's behind Germany's 8 goals to England and Argentina:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8789682.stm

The coaches of England, Italy and France should read this too. Though I doubt they will.

I'm Italian, but it doesn't mean I don't like good football!!
  8. got me a few quid on ze Germans for tonight.
  9. Tricky match. Luckily i can view it unbiased

Winning so far are absolutely 0. Tonight's is only my second bet of the Cup so losses are minimal. I tend to go for small amounts on massive odds.
