1. The octopus' prediction was good. Looking forward to Sunday.
  2. congrats Spain

go for them, Holland, you can do it

    *disappointed*
  3. And what a great match it will be!!! I'll support Germany of course
  4. Not the greatest match, but congrats Spain. Hopefully a final to remember with two new contenders for the title going for it. Not got my hopes up though
  5. Netherlands are takin it home this year!!!
  6. Yep. And after that they switch off their Playstation.
  7. Well I believe we do have a good chance. Spain plays tremendous offensive football, but sometimes I feel that their backs just leave a big gap behind them. So if we can play a swift break out with for example Robben, we can win. I know, it won't bring us the prize for the most beautiful game. We won that prize more than one time, but didn't get the cup. It should happen this year.
  8. Spain will be though to beat. We could easily lose. Holland was disappointing up till now. But if we can find the 30% that we lost since we stepped out the plane everything is possible.

I really hope the Dutch start taking risks now. If we can get back to the form of the preperations we will take the cup home.

To all haters : Regardless of the game Sunday, we are doing pretty damn well for a country with only 16 million inhabitans.
  9. At the end the result is all that matters.
  10. Disagree. I'd bring up the Suarez incident to prove it, but i wont

  11. I agree, the Germans don't have the depth of talent the Spanish do and when a key part of the team is missing it breaks down. Muller is definitely a pivotal part of the team.

It was very close match though, I feel sorry for the Dutch, what can they possibly do?

And the Uruguayans are in for a thrashing

The Germans have a wealth of talent but Ozil and Khedira have still got many more years ahead of them than Xabi Alonso, Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol etc. Klose and Friedrich might be in the twilight of their international careers but the rest are still in relative infancy of a kind.

The Dutch have a lot of potential in their ranks we have still to see, and a fair few players who can change a game on their own, so don't write them off just yet. Spain's world-class depth is of a similar level, i.e. once you look past the first 11 or so - hell, Capdevila is their 1st choice left back I'm not dismissing the Spanish at all - both sides haven't really peaked yet, which is quite frankly bizarre since we have one (meaningful) game left of the tournament lol.

What I'm intrigued by is the fact that nearly all of the defences at this World Cup have looked suspect, yet we haven't THAT many high scoring games that haven't involved Germany or North Korea. If Germany had played themselves, they'd have mullered each other, if that makes any sense, and if they had really gone for it and unsettled Spain, they could have cut through the Spanish defence tonight, I wasn't convinced. Such as it, the Spanish are off to J'Berg to face Bert and Co. Should be interesting...
