  1. I cried in Barcelona, 02.07.2009 during ISHFWILF, I just couldn't hold it.

    In São Paulo, vertigo tour second night, I didn't cry. But after going home and remembering it all...I cried like a baby.
  2. No crying, but definitely some WOWs. Clearly remember enjoying Snow Patrol's set and then U2 bringing performing to the next level.

    But other than that, not so much. Guess I 'like' music more than i 'love' it.

    Came fairly close at the second "whoa-oa-oa-oa" section of With or Without You, when Bono brings everybody back in after he says goodnight. Dunno why, the song wasn't great on the tour, but it was my first show and I was sort of overwhelmed by finally hearing some of these songs live.
  5. Goosebumps at many songs - Vertigo, Streets, Pride, Ultraviolet. Wasn't actually crying but my eyes became blurry and wet during the outro of Moment of Surrender with 40 snippet. Beautiful. Crazy Tonight was THE song that night though.
  6. I have cried at every U2 concert that I have been to. The songs mark particular times and events in my life and they bring up memories. Some are songs that were relevant to relationships and some are songs that are relevant to struggles that I have had. Music is very powerful and we all interpret the lyrics differently to obtain meaning. I do this with all music, but most certainly with U2 music. It is powerful and moving.

    amsterdam 2 2009 -- bad --- along with my parents --- as we played this song in 2004 at my brothers funeral ... so you can imagine ......

    and many more teardropping moments .... not full cry your heart out .... but hey .. still shaken ...

    they move me ...... in mysterious ways .....

    I've broken up with my girlfriend since the last show I went to, and I know when they play "One" at my next one, I'll break down.
  10. I'm with flowerchild on page one. I've bawled at all five U2 shows I've been to.

    But with the "City of Blinding Lights" intro at my first show (Vertigo tour, NJ, 5/17/05), vividly I remember that opening and my eyes just watered and the tears dripped down my face. I had only been a fan for 3 years at that point, but it was my first time seeing them live and the emotion of being in that arena at a U2 concert was overwhelming. And this was just those opening beats-once they came on stage, I was a hot mess.

    I got some of the lyrics to "Walk On" tattooed on my arm recently, as it's the song that got me through my grandmother's death in March. I'm seeing U2 again in Seville on September 29th. If anyone is going to be at that show, I'll be the sobbing, tear stained American girl in the crowd!

  11. I'm pretty sure at least 75% of the crowd at MSG was crying at the first Elevation show post 9/11. When they started scrolling the names of the victims in lights, pretty much the whole arena melted. I know I did.

    Most memorable moment of any concert or event I've ever been too.

    Wasn't there, and it still gives me chills to just read that very post.
