I really, really, really like that idea. I wish that would happen across the US. I hate seeing concerts I want to go to sell out too fast and then true fans have to ultimately buy scalper prices. Nice work in Belgium!

Your tickets are not sent immediately

    Best U2 fan,

You ordered two tickets for the concerts of the Irish rock band U2 in September next year in Brussels.

For the resale of tickets at inflated prices strictly to tackle decided concert promoter Live Nation, ticket seller Tele Ticket Service and the Federal Public Service Economy based on their gentleman's agreement to concert tickets not to send immediately.

Each suspect (online) transaction to the Federal Public Service Economy reported. The government committing itself to actively participate in monitoring and detecting illegal marketing practices with the aim of concert-goers against scams and deposition.

Strict controls on the entrance of the King Baudouin Stadium

The holder of any suspect and profit from tickets sold will be located at the entrance to the King Baudouin Stadium to identify. The visitor whose concert ticket can be linked directly to the original ticket purchaser will be based on the gentlemen's agreement and the terms and conditions of access denied.

Concert Tickets will be sent later

Checks prior to allowing the illegal resale and mapping, the tickets for the U2 concert at a later date sent. Without significant problems, the tickets may be sent before the summer break.

Important notice if you've moved or are moving

If after purchasing your ticket (s) or you have moved in the summer of next year, moving plans, do not forget your new address to notify Tele Ticket Service. Because you are an active reservation, you can customize your address but not online. This is a measure to prevent illegal sales through intermediaries by massive buying tickets and then to the same address to send.

Legislative initiative for illegal resale in dikes

Politics is convinced that the resale of tickets at insanely high prices should be made stricter aangepakt.De MPs William-Frederick Schiltz (Open VLD), Sofie Staelraeve (Open VLD), Dalila Douifi (SP.A), Liesbeth Van der Auwera (CD & V) and Jef Vandenbergh (CD & V) set about a proposal on paper. They suggest that tickets can cost up to ten percent higher than the official listed price. Offering tickets before the official start of ticket sales would be banned.

Because you keep your ticket ...

On the website www.ilovemyticket.be find more information on how to combat the illegal resale of tickets is tackled. On the website you will also find a blacklist of rogue online sales.

I think it makes sense for arenas. For stadiums, it's idiotic and fucks people who are a) on summer holidays, b)following U2 on their tour c) do both.
Besides, it may partly work with reselling on the internet. But does nothing against the traditional scalping.

Brussels tix are said to be delivered from Aug 15th on...
  4. Where had this august 15th date for the posting of Brussels tickets come from , it is better news than I was expecting
  5. i got my istanbul tickets today .... ups shipped ... all ok

definitely agree with you here, yeah. Love the idea of fans selling to fans on the internet.
  7. Now that they're about to start seeling tickets from Brazilian concert, a question came to my mind: does U2.com has a limit of tickets you can buy, or I could buy 8 tickets without restriction?

Didn't find nothing about it on the topic, so sorry to bothering you.

It has been restricted for every other presale, so I would say yes. It was 4 tickets per code for the US IIRC. I believe it was 4 tickets per show for Australia/Europe. It tends to depend on whether there's more than one ticket sales outlet (Ticketbastard etc) involved. I just checked the u2.com FAQ and they haven't updated it for South America.
  9. I'm on the Cedar group for brazilian tickets, what does that mean?
