Okay, that karate kick I agree with, not Robben, but yes he should have had that goal, it was lame.

I'm not saying their protests influenced the ref, I'm saying their diving did, more than half of the calls he made for fouls were the result of dives, YOU watch the replays. The karate kick, and Van Bommel (who I hate anyway) were reckless, I agree with you there.

And the goal (looking back) was onside, but barely. And it pisses me off that the player who scored it dove the most.

All cards were fair and Robben should have had a second yellow for kicking the ball in the net when he was flagged offside (Xavi was booked later for the exact same offence). There were some Spanish dives but none of the Dutch players received bookings for Spanish dives. Howard Webb is usually conservative with the cards but he had no choice tonight to dish them out (to both the the Dutch and Spanish players).

  4. Too bad, penalties would have been exciting.
    Also, Iniesta should considering sunbathing.
  5. Worst final in 20 years. Spain tried to play football, Holland tried to prevent them. Deserved win.
  6. Stop arguing, it was fair, and it is done now. Time to celebrate! Im very sorry for you all, dear Dutchies, you all know I love your country and people, but...........

  7. 1994 was worse I believe.
  8. Fair play Spain, the better team won Robben should have scored, same with Mathijsen. Saying that, so should Ramos and Heitinga's block from Villa was quality. Shame about the 2nd yellow he got though. The Dutch could have had only half a team left, and Howard Webb had a good game so kudos to him. Yes, the Dutch should have had a corner after Sneijder's kick was blocked, and Elia's claim is up for debate, but the match was played by humans, officiated by humans, i.e. everyone makes mistakes. The only thing that genuinely irritated me, save for the diving now and then, was Iniesta waving for Heitinga to get a 2nd yellow - you're not the ref, that's not your job, shut the fuck up, quite frankly lol. However, cracking finish (not offside any day of the week) and a nice gesture to the late Daniel Jarque. Overall, a decent tournament finished with an exciting game - the best? Hell no, but exciting and engaging nonetheless.
  9. Spain was the fair winner of the tournament.

They were a team and Holland wasnt. I agree most cards were fair, but there were a few tackles from behind on Van Persie as well that shouldve been yellow as well.

Disappointing play from the Dutch, Sneijder played the worse game of his life. Never liked his play this cup but his ego showed tonight. Robben is a kid, shouldve scored and kept his mouth shut.

I didnt think the referee was that good, but we cant complain when we are playing crap like this.

    EDIT:

The offside was the ball before. Also I thought the Spanish players were playing the ref a lot. I have seen 3 people falling down in the box with only 2 defenders who were capable of making the foul? Those shouldve been awarded the yellow card as well.

Again: Judging from all games Spain is the fair winner.
  10. Spain were FAIR winners, but not deserved.
  11. Just saw the reply of Iniesta's foul, should've been red. No ball there.

But if we scored the goal it wouldnt have mattered.
