1. Deserved win for Spain, they played football or at least tried it. It was a tough game with some incorrect referee decisions but that's all in the game! Glad we made it this far.

Two notes, de Jong should've received red and van Persie is Dutch worst player of the tournament. Hope he will be removed from striker position after this WC.
  2. Van Persie was not good. But rather him then Sneijder. Jeez what an ego has that kid.
  3. Sneijder saved us a lot of times this tournament, glad with him overall.

Only decision that's hard is that we didn't get a corner right before the goal. It was very clear that the free kick of Sneijder was touched. Ah well, that's life

They were a team and Holland wasnt. I agree most cards were fair, but there were a few tackles from behind on Van Persie as well that shouldve been yellow as well.

Disappointing play from the Dutch, Sneijder played the worse game of his life. Never liked his play this cup but his ego showed tonight. Robben is a kid, shouldve scored and kept his mouth shut.

I didnt think the referee was that good, but we cant complain when we are playing crap like this.

    EDIT:

The offside was the ball before. Also I thought the Spanish players were playing the ref a lot. I have seen 3 people falling down in the box with only 2 defenders who were capable of making the foul? Those shouldve been awarded the yellow card as well.

Again: Judging from all games Spain is the fair winner.

I think it would appear Mathijsen played Iniesta on with the initial ball, and then both van der Vaart and I think van der Wiel in the second instance - either way, you can go on and on about this foul and that foul to balance it out, but the end of the day, Spain scored and Holland didn't, but I think you're being pretty good and balance so kudos Sneijder and Robben weren't great, but no Dutch player was really. Shame of van Bronckhorst to go out of his career as a runner-up but he's had a pretty good career eh? Van Persie was crap but like Torres, he's coming into a major tournament out of form and fitness - Huntelaar should have been ahead of him but that said, the way you were playing meant it didn't really matter who you picked, it wasn't a system for beautiful football and individuals to shine. Anyway, it's over now and we have to all move on and look ahead to 2012! Which at this rate England won't make again lol...

Van Bommel should have been sent out off for multiple fouls in every game lol, just to throw that in like I said to Chris, van Persie shouldn't have been picked as first choice, it shouldn't have been down to him - no form, no fitness. Ah well lol...

Doubt we'll be seeing Sergio for a few days now...?
  5. blablablabla

Was an even match, both sides could've gone with the trophy. Webb had a very poor game though. Never mind. Congrats to Spain. I'm not dissapointed that we lost, I'm dissapointed that we didn't want. I was all for a party in this country. Now we have to wait at least two years. Sigh.
  6. I nearly cried at the end of the match, in sadness that it is all over. Such a great World Cup, and I can't wait for 2014.

r u serious? this was the shitties world cup ever! There were no great games only a couple of good ones. Did u watch the final? It was a perfect example of the modern soccer playing. All teams just prefer defensive kind of approach. I hate what has now become the Brazilian or Dutch national team.
I can only hope the next WC is gonna be much better...

The only good thing was the highlights music theme:
  8. Well, I would´ve been happy with both, but Spain won the WC that was the worst since the 1990 one and that had the worst final since 94. I was glad because Spain played quality football (or like some said, tried to) and one of my names is spanish. I got mad at Robben, he falls as if he was an actor, and how hasn´t Van Bommel gotten a red card? Well, it´s all over now. The challenge to build great stadiums here inBrazil has strted. I hope the WC is better!

Congrats to both teams that made to the finals and also to Uruguay for making a great UC after 40 years and Germany for keeping up the good work!

Also I´d like to congratulate Paraguay for Larissa Riquelme
  9. Well that was a largely forgettable final. The bloody third place game (which most don't actually cares about) was much more interesting than this.

Spain deserved to win the match, they played ok, unlike the Dutch who seemed to mistake the game for UFC or something, they definitely shouldn't be complaining about the ref.
The Italians were out, but the Dutch were definitely channeling their dirty tactics.

I feel sorry for the Germans, they played the most interesting football of the tournament, scored the most goals and played very cleanly and sportingly to boot.

If Muller (who will take home the Golden Boot) was playing in the semi against Spain, they probably could have won.
  10. Boring game with some chances - more by Spain. Refree was bad on both sides. In first 30 minutes Holland had to get two red cards... And Spain had to get red card in second half... many many bad decisions for final match.

And I'm glad this World Cup is gone... It wasn't nice football during whole championship... Congrats to Spain, they were a little better in final match and I hope next time we will see much much better games - and with better refrees and some video refree...
  11. Not sure how much pesetas this referree got, unbelievable
    - Many yellow cards for the Dutch, hardly for spain
    - iniesta (the goal scorer) and puyol should have been sended off
    - the goal kick which led to the goal should have been a corner kick
    - the red card was a dive of this same iniesta, after which he begged for a card (oo yes he's so good ahum, very unsportive type)

ok, opposite to that, De jong should have got a red card as well and Robben
    should have scored

Again a british referree blews a final for us

spain deserved it? No way, but well, s..t happens

And what was this hoax against Van Bommel in the britsh press????
    Jealousy? Nice reading for Webb.
Also in half time ananlysis they slashed the Dutch for a hard game, weird, it's not ballet,
first time I think I zapped away from the bbc
