1. Good one, although I didn't like how she sung the first verses; she should sing them an octave higher, maybe not screaming like the "How long before you tell the truth" but the lower voice simply doesn't fit.

Thanks for the support, Matt, you really add to my words. Indeed, the lack of communication is harsh, the audience doesn't deserve it, even in a less epic/rocker/whatever show and a more acoustic/intimate/whatever show, as Dylan's. But thanking the audience for their continous support and for attending your show is just neccesary; not doing it is rude!

And regarding Jeremy's comment, I'll just quote myself
the audience who attends a concert likes more communication with the band, not just "Play and cheer, Hello, Good bye". If we wanted that, we would gather in a stadium and play just the album songs on the PA......
  2. i agree about the matt's lack of connection with the audience. at glastonbury i was surprised at the lack of interraction from the band, most of which came from dom. and i saw dylan last year, and i was disappointed at his disregard for fans at the show, he didn't say one word the whole performance.

Being the U2 fan that I am, I made another cover. Simple, but epic in it's own respects I think.

Sometimes You Have to Sell Your Soul

Muse bassist, Chris Wolstenholme, has expressed his concern about being included on all 3 Twilight soundtracks.

Chris Wolstenholme has said that being included on the Twilight soundtrack felt a bit like 'selling their soul'.

The musician questioned how "cool" it is to be involved with the vampire films.

The band contributed to all three films in the franchise: 'Supermassive Black Hole' for the first film, 'I Belong To You' for New Moon and 'Neutron Star Collision' for Eclipse.

Wolstenholme told the BBC: "I'm not sure how cool it is to be on those kind of things but sometimes you've just got to get your music out there in different ways."

Speaking of being successful in the US, he added: "You have to take every opportunity you get over there and sometimes you have to sell your soul."

    What do you guys think?

  6. It happens, I'm not a fan of the films but if it gets the band more success in countries where they perhaps arn't so big, North America for example, then fair play to them, being in a big band is a business afterall

  7. I remember hearing a while back (and have no way to know if this is true or not) that they were approached before they knew what the story was and they thought "Cool, our music will be in a vampire movie..." and didn't realize it was about teenage vampires falling in love, and they were a little disappointed with it.

And I'm personally convinced that they decided to sabotage the whole thing by contributing the worst song on The Resistance for the second movie, and then went and wrote a terrible song specifically for the third movie. There's no other way to describe Nuetron Star Collision other than a steaming turd.
  8. there is a new muse godfathre records boot

I quite like NSC ..... just me?! Ah well...

Stephanie Meyers quotes Muse as the inspiration behind the books so they've got to be flattered by that. No different to being on a Batman soundtrack....

Muse being the inspiration between Twilight? Don't see the connection but hey, people are inspired by all kinds of things lol. And yeah, I'm with you, I don't think NSC is the horse manure many are saying - I don't think it's amazing, but I think it's a decent song; the guitar solo wins it all over for me, very Brian May.
