1. I even request Love Will Tear Us Apart for the song not to suck very hard. Just an aveerage performance of WOWY + Shine Like Stars sucks anyway; if Bono throws LWTUA, it becomes an absolute hihglight for me.
  2. I like too Sunday Blood Sunday/Get up stand up. is cool snipett I think

  3. Bob Marley-snips are always good to hear. But that's because I love Bob's music..
  4. I think Stand Up Comedy as a snippet would work in Crazy Tonight
During the break, Bono start's shouting "C'mon you people! .... Stand up for your love!"

  5. Agreed

I'd love to see I Still Haven't Found / Exodus again
  6. Unforgettable Fire/ Map of The Problematique by Muse? Was listening to MOTP the other day and started singing TUF along with it Not sure if it works the other way though
  7. I've always wanted "A Sort of Homecoming" snippet leading into "Where the Streets Have No Name", sort of like how Bono used "40" or "All I Want is You" on the Elevation Tour, sort of howling into the intro...

    [As "One" is ending]

    Tonight, we'll build a bridge
    Across the sea and land
See the sky, the burning rain
She will die and live again,
    Toniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight,
    Toniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight....

    [Edge begins the "Streets" riff]

Cool idea, but I'd rather see ASOH come back as a whole
  9. I've sung it a couple of times over a live recording and it sounds pretty damn cool, Matt, great idea Getting the right key to sing it was hard, though

Yeah I played around with it and it took me a good couple seconds to not sound like a dying animal, trying to find the pitch.

There's a slightly obscure song called "Footprints" by Squeeze, with the chorus-

    Now the summer is over,
    I can count the cost
    Footprints on the beaches
Are now footprints in the frost

And if you sing it the right way, it fits perfectly over "Beautiful Day", where Bono did the "The goal is soul" stuff on the Elevation Tour, during the heavy part in the end before it cuts out to just Edge.

My idea for this came when I was listening to live versions of BD, trying to select one to imitate the best for my band's own performance of the song, which we have in a setlist for a July 31st show. At that point, it will be only a few weeks before friends depart for universities, and I though of this song, when they sing "Summer is over", and it just sort of fit right over that part of the live version. I'm thinking of adding it in ourselves. (Just need the key change)

  11. I've not actually heard any versions of One into Streets yet...I like the ideas behind both your suggestion and indeed what the guys came up with, I've just been intrigued by how the worked out the key changes...One was bumped back up to C wasn't it so they could work out the transition right? I should probably give the whole shabang a listen lol. I still stand by the original idea I put forward when I opened this thread, if you didn't see it check it out, I think it would be killer.
