1. I sync the music and exit as soon as that's done. It runs alright on Windows 7. On Vista and XP it was a right pain.
  2. Never understood iTunes. Dont get it what it has above others. Except the store, which is just a protected website.

Havent tried it on 7 yet though

I guess it works well enough for those who are willing to use it for extended periods of time and want to pay good money for albums which they could buy cheaper or download for free elsewhere as well as many apps which just aren't that good either. EAC is used here for ripping and Foobar for MP3 encoding and playback - no better combo.

What I now do with iTunes is rename it to a .rar file and extract the components out (not Bonjour or Software Update) but unfortunately have to install QuickTime for iTunes and do /passive installs which the app seems to work much better and more streamlined than if you installed Bonjour or SU. It takes about 10 minutes less and gives it a bit more speed than if you just went with Apple's standard install.

Hahaha, just checked who's online - there's someone called Linux. Just thought I'd point it out.
  4. What is that damn pinguin doing here

I also use foobar2000, used WMP11 before that and Winamp before that.

I just saw it and wondered where Windoze was. Apparently he's in the valley of missing DLLs lost somewhere.

Yeah, Foobar is the best there is, easily. Customisation is good fun and really experimental and that I love. Plus it has the 1-channel DSP which my laptop - a 2009 Acer - happens to sound great with. If I don't use that plugin, the sound is completely unbearable.

I used to like WMP but I like the Media Center interface more, even if it is totally inefficient for multitasking. Might as well use WMP if that's the case.
  6. If it wasnt for u2start i would be still using WMP. Its great, but the tagging/converting features are not really good.

Can you convert WAV to MP3 in EAC? If you could that'd cut out another step for rip, convert and tag.
  8. I dont rip anything. I just buy cds and download the rips

Also I'm used to foobar2000 now. Couldnt organize it better with any other app. But out of the box WMP is not that bad.

Ah right - I'll have to search more on it then. I couldn't go to anything else for long, FB is definitely the thing I know and love. And without SoundTouch, I couldn't use it either.

Harddisk companies use SI units. But most computer software use the other standard. Thats why there is a mismatch between what you see and what you buy.

Also there is some overhead in the filesystem, that is also deducted from the raw storage capacity.

You damn informatic engineers (physic lovers!! ) !!!

  11. Im a mechanical engineer to be

  12. And by looks, I'd say you're fully able already lol I'd never even heard of e9 bytes
