bit of anti climax coming back online and still no rehearsals (i knew as soon as i saw the thread had only gone up by 2 pages...)

ah well maybe tomorrow eh !?

Most certainly, there were rehearsals. Indoors.

One of U2's best live songs, ever.

    Totally agree.

I really did used to HATE Stand Up Comedy, but now I kinda like it. You've got to keep listening to it, it eventually hit me one day.

  4. no chance - i hate everything about that song - musically it tries to be a big bad rocker with large testicles and fails extremely miserably... and the lyrics never fail to make me cringe..

my only hope is that maybe (and its a very small maybe) it might translate into something better in a live situation...

I agree about the lyrics. Oh and especially how Bono says "hours" in the second line of the first verse. He kind of whispers it which makes you cringe everytime you hear it.
  6. Imagine you randomly looked at that webcam and didn't know what was going on in there it looks like it's gonna explode sometimes lol

I gotta admit it still hasn't happened for me either. Probably my least or 2nd least favorite song on the album. The lyrics are just too annoying for me

I think they're taking the spaceship stuff too serious haha

  9. From U2.com newsletter:

Word is that there'll be some surprises in the show and we've just launched a very cool online device through which you can contribute to some groundbreaking new content.

Can't say too much ahead of opening night but it's a very cool way of showing solidarity with Aung San Suu Kyi, who symbolises the struggle for freedom of the people of Burma.

All you need to take part is a webcam.

    And your open palm.

And a message.... write it on your hand. (Use your other hand!)

    Groundbreaking indeed...
  10. So it looks as if Walk On is likely to remain in the setlist.
