1. Ah, glad to hear there is plenty of time during the shows to look around, make some photos etc.
  2. I know its never going to happen in a million years but I would love a wee B-side treat for the hardcore fans. A cheeky little Walk To The Water would be the coolest thing ever.
  3. Latest report: Full band rehearsal: Pride, COBL, Vertigo, Streets
  4. I actually really like Stand Up Comedy. It's a more playful sort of track, a different musical direction. Unique, yes, but I do like it. However, I see absolutely no way that Stand Up would work live. It has a lot of quirky aspects that seem to work well in the album, but I feel that it would not work live, kind of like Do You Feel Loved back in Popmart.

If they decide to add some "new" songs to the setlist, I say bring back the album version of I'll Go Crazy. Or keep the dance remix, but add Mofo and Discotheque to make the encore a Popmart theme, similar to how the encore of the Vertigo tour tended to be thematically based on ZooTV (Zoo Station, The Fly, etc.)

At any rate, less than spectacular rehearsals should come as no surprise here. The band is coming back from a long break, and Bono is coming off of his injury, so I suspect that it will take them some time to get back into the swing of things. But once the madness picks up again, don't expect it to ever let up. I'll wait patiently for the band to come back to the states.

  5. That's actually pretty cool...is it going to replace the masks then?

  6. I guess so. Well, I'll gladly raise my arm, show my palm and shout "STOP" when they start playing Walk On.

  7. They've finally caught onto the fact we're listening.

  8. it seems they just arrived at the stadium ... so this morning was a cd to check audio maybe .. like yesterday

Yep, Walk On somewhat sucks. It's a bit too cheesy.

Btw, U2place mentions MoS in addition to the songs yeah mentioned:

We don't know whether it was tapes, U2, technicians, a cover band. Probably the latter

U2 have been intensively rehearsing indoor, however.

I'd be surprised by a lack of nice surprises, though perhaps I'm a bit too optimistic.
