1. That cover looks, at the same time, attractive and incredibly boring. I don't know what to make out of it. I wasn't enthusiastic about Crossfire either
  2. at first i didn't know what to make of crossfire either, but it's grown on me so much over the past few days.

  3. Same here. Actually, I can't stop listen to it this weekend. It's a great song, in my opinion. Hope to hear more from his solo album soon.

  4. I think the cover is awesome, very killers-esque in a way.

I can't say I fully support his solo effort, Crossroads is great, but one it sounds like wannabe killers song a bit, and I'd rather hear the band making music as opposed to jsut one of the mentalities that goes into making music of my 2nd favourite band

I don't understand why people make a solo album if its just going to sound like music that could be from the band they play in. Crossroads sounds like a Killers song, but on the other hand when you take a band like Alexisonfire, which is a kind of screamo rock band, one of their lead singers made a solo effort (called City In Colour) and it sounds totally different, it's HIS music, not music that sounds like it could be from his band. If Brandon Flowers wants to write music like this, why not just do it with the rest of the guys? Chances are time would've been better spent if they had spent the last few months writing as a band, than Brandon spending the last few months writing his album (or however long it took).

On that note, does anyone know the real reason as to why they're on this hiatus? I know Brandon announced they scheduled studio time (as a band!!) so they can record a new album, so I guess the hiatus isn't on anymore, but I heard numerous reasons as to why it happened, want to spend time with family (usually a cover-up for a bigger problem), they were fighting, or they just wanted a vacation.

    WHO KNOWS.
  5. Watched Royal Albert again...

Brandon Flowers has just become one of my favorite front-men of all time. Seriously.

  6. That's weird, I watched that last night as well Great dvd. And yeah he's a great frontman, very modest, you can really tell he believes in what he's singing.
  7. Brandon (alone) will play twice in Spain. Barcelona on October 8th and Madrid on the 9th, 30€ per ticket. If I knew more or less how the setlist looks like (basically, if he plays much Killers stuff) I would buy them without hesitating a second. Does anyone have any info about his tour, what he plays, etc?

apparently his stuff, some Killers songs and i think i remember him saying something about some covers. I would go for it, €30 is pretty good and even if it only has a few killers songs, a good night out
  9. I think it's lame that he's touring and playing Killers songs (if thats true). He should only play songs off of his new album, a few b-sides from his new album, and maybe some covers. If he wants to perform Killers songs, he should go back to his fucking band, that's where he really shines. Crossroads is good, but it's got nothing on ANY killers song.
  10. I agree more or less with you, Alex, but I don't know if The Killers will tour as The Killers ever more, so it might be my only chance to witness some of those songs that I adore!!! If Matt Bellamy made an album on his own, and later a tour, and if I hadn't attended a Muse concert, I would go to that concert with the hopes of cathing some of those songs!! It's similar to what happens with Mark Knopfler. Dire Straits are gone (not exactly split up, they simly vanished as a band) since 1992, and since then MK has released new material (sometimes similar to the Dire Straits music, sometimes not) and toured the whole world - and he has played Dire Straits songs aaaaaall the time. Maybe 5 or 8 per concert, but enough to please the poor people that missed the good old days

So, thanks for the info, Hans, thanks a lot. I might be going then, indeed 30€ is pretty cheap. By the way, the venue's capacity is between 300 and 500 people so I can't relax at all, I think I will buy the tickets tomorrow morning (they went on sale last Friday).

No worries, trying to find the source of the interview now, it was a few months back so probably got lost with all the other news

I'd go, even if I don't believe The Killers will stop. Brandon is really a great frontman, and his lyrics are great, in my opinon.
