1. Ok, the first song is probably a Spider Man track as it is very rock, like Breathe, Stand Up Comedy etc.
I don't think it's from Songs of Ascent. I don;t like it too much either, seems a bit blustery - but Edge has an interesting riff and solo section, maybe hearing a better recording will change that.

Bono seems to be singing "young hearts!" in the chorus or something similar

The other song could be from the album, it's quite low key, like a happy version of White as Snow. I probably liked it better than the first song, but it also sounded like it could be cheesy - depending on Bono's lyrics - and that could make or break it.

I first thought it could be "For Your Love" but then I remembered that became SUC.

    - 2 new song tonight

so they cut breathe off the rose bowl dvd for nuthing FFS
  3. 2nd song sounds good but im not a massive fan of slow stuff, give us more pockets full of sunshine

Edit. 1.49 min into the 2nd song reminds me of "A man and a woman"
  4. Don't like either of new songs. The slow one - bad in every aspect, I guess Bono wrote lyrics in 2 minutes.

The rocking one is better, but c'mon the Edge, where's your imagination? We don't need another ABOY.
  5. Haven't listened to either of the new songs yet. Will wait for a proper recording or a good bootleg to make any type of judgements

    Harsh

EDIT: Are you listening to a different recording? The only lyrics I can hear in the slower song are the "I can't wait any longer", and maybe some other tidbits here and there, but other than that I'd say it's hard to make any kind of judgement, ("bad in every aspect") without a proper listen! I'll admit the chorus as it is right now (may change, who knows?) is pretty simple, just that lyric over and over, but other than that it sounds promising, the melody at least.

  7. Trying To Throw Your Arms ?!?!

    Awesome!

    Best thing I heard today

Also liked the new slow song, but as I said before, I'll have to listen to a good version to get a better opinion.

    Can't wait till friday...

    Greetings from Brazil
  8. The first one sounded alright, not really sure about the other 2. Best wait till I hear better quality before making a proper judgement.

Awesome that HMTM, Gone and Trying are likely to be played anyone that's going to this one is lucky and I'm very jealous
  9. I Can't Wait Any Longer For Your Love

haha luckily it doesn't sound anything like ABOY at all imo

  11. I think he was referring to the more uptempo song. But I'd say the same about that one; I very much like both songs, especially the rocky one. They're more joyful, and somewhat inspired (especially the rocky one), than most of the stuff from the last decade

Edit: yep, very glad neither song looks lile ABOY...
  12. People need to relax a little. The band are 'rehearsing' and suddenly there is negativity about slow songs, new openers and dropped songs. A few days ago there was moaning as it was roadies rehearsing and not the band. Damned if you do, damned if you dont...

Friday will be here soon enough so relax and be glad that the band is back on the road - that is the most important thing
