  3. I wonder whether one is Every Breaking Wave. After all, they went on and on about it in the pre-NLOTH interviews, so who knows.


  4. Ohhh, I hope they'll close with Walk On instead of Moment Of Surrender and they'll play Stuck In A Moment instead of any new song because ATYCLB songs are sound so fresh on this tour.
  5. ok after listening to the "heavy" new song for a couple of days heres what i think and i don't quite know how to put this into words but i'll try:

    it seems to me they are stuck in some kind of creative vacuum... i guess i should wait and see whether the song is played on friday and then whether we hear any more of it in the future but i mean if this is the best they can come up with as far as "rockier" songs are concerned then its not good enough for me.. it just sounds like re-hashed and re-cycled styles/ideas from the last few years..

    they used to be able to pull off in your face/balls out songs with style imo - stuff like HMTM, the fly, mofo, LNOE etc etc but when i compare these to this new song and the 'heavier' moments on the last album for example, boots SUC breathe etc or most of the 'ballsier' moments on the two albums before - it just doesn't compare...

    on the other hand i think the acoustic new song is nice enough. they seem to be able to do 'quiet' pretty well these days. all my favourite songs on the last album are the quiet ones...


    and yes opening the set with beautiful day is a truly rubbish idea on so many levels...

    yeah couldn't have said it better myself.... the sooner they stop clinging onto their perceived life raft of ATYCLB the better..

    thats probably why their playing with the idea of opening w beautiful day - safety... they really need to re-strap on a pair....

    Just say it: U2 became a mainstream band and they'll became coward to do something experimental because of the loss of fans and (the magic word) MONEY.
