1. Speaking about the "3 new songs", the interview in "Il Giornale" reads a little differently. There Bono says that they have 3 new songs but are undecided which one(s) to play.

An ambient and rock album sounds good. But a club album, like the recent remixes? Uh-oh. Three new songs - how cool would it be to have those out on iTunes like right after the show or at least do live broadcasts of them on a radio station or all around the world?

I'm intrigued about the new album possibilities. It would be kind of cool if they were done and ready to go all at once and released as a 3 disc set?

Also, I'm hoping they release the new songs on iTunes too, or maybe an EP of the highlights of 360 including these new songs?
  4. New intro?

I think after hearing the basic ambient direction on NLOTH - and it wasn't all that ambient which is why I said basic direction, Eno's been getting as far away from it as possible with the last few records - it could be interesting to hear a U2 take on it with or without Eno.

I'd love a physical release of the songs though. Put some live highlights of the first night, the new songs and one or two decent unreleased remixes on it and put it out as an EP like the This Is It one that came out on iTunes - admittedly better than the actual 'album' that was rushed out, but I'd be far more interested in a U2 one.

I like that 'possible new intro' up there too. Sounds good although I did hear Space Oddity and went ''U2 are singing about ground control!!! OMFG'', then realised.
  6. What ever happened to EBTTRT being a cert for this leg of the tour . Last I heard Dallas said it was getting a comeback and I think it was reported here that some Australian band had recorded some video to be played on the screens during real thing on this tour . I was really looking forward to it but no mention of it or any rehersals .

  7. Because Bono is a space oddity and the band don't wanna let him get away (from doing his back in).

    Where's this video you mention?

Wasn't that Australian Tribute Band video not for Glastonbury?
  9. So, according to that La Stampa interview (and the German translation on u2tour.de), it seems that the band "promised" to play 3 new songs on Friday, where each one is from one of their current album projects.

I suppose that Glastonbury is from the Rockalbum then, the second new song from Songs Of Ascent which leaves us with a clubsong yet to be heard...let's see what time will tell.

The "promised" thing is just to have a headline. The new songs are mentioned in interviews for Il Giornale and la Repubblica, too. There it reads as "We'd like to play 2 new songs" (Edge) and "We have 3 new ones but didn't decide which to play by now" (Bono). So the truth is somewhere in between; I guess.

Glastonbury is supposed to have it's origins in "Here is what is". No idea if that's true, never watched it.
