1. Yeah, follow them blindly and kiss the roads they walk on. And don't dare to criticize the setlist, be grateful that they play, no matter what they play. After all Bono could easily be dead now.

  2. That song was actually an interesting experience for me when I saw them at Chicago (the last time they played Pride). I think I had been on these forums too much before I went to my gig, haha. I went into the show thinking, "Oh my word, do they really have to play this dumb song?" I wasn't expecting to enjoy it at all, and so I sat down (and so did my dad, who proceeded to fall asleep during the song). About 3/4 of the way through the song, I realized that it was actually pretty cool...of all the songs they played, Pride was one of the ones that got the crowd singing and energized the most (aside from the ISHFWILF singalong)...and it actually made the song pretty cool, even if I have heard way, way, way too many recordings of it before, so I kind of regretted not taking it as seriously (although I did find it hilarious that my dad, indeed, fell asleep). So yeah, I can see the appeal of playing songs that people know- my dad knew Beautiful Day, COBL, Vertigo, and Elevation (and hates Elevation, lol).

As for the rest of the tour/setlist changes, I'm just interested to see what all happens. I'm psyched to see HMTMKMKM...I really hope they keep that around for the US leg next year. My computer died, so I'm pretty bummed that I won't be able to pick up boots for a while, but that's okay. It's still a U2 show, they're still the best band in the world, and if you're there live, it'll still be one of the best things you've ever done (because really, when you get to a U2 show and they play Streets, can you honestly claim not to have had an amazing night?).

The short answer is: If you don't like the setlist or are that mad that they ARE playing "A" and NOT playing "B" - Don't go to the show.

Correct !!! If they played the same 22 songs I heard the last time , id still go

I genuinely think they are keeping a surprise or two . Not long till we find out either way
  4. Actually, now that I've looked at the setlist that they rehearsed yesterday, I can't say that I have a strong dislike for any of the songs they played...of all the songs, I'd like them to drop Walk On (or just play it without talking about the stupid masks...Bono's vocals on it from the Rose Bowl DVD are pretty good). I do wish they'd bring back at least UC and UV, though...sad to see those depart.

i dont have a strong dislike for many U2 songs (except SUC GOYB and about half of ATYCLB & HTDAAB) so therefore i dont have a strong dislike for most of the set either. i just find it a bit safe and boring and was just hoping they would change it around a bit and exchange some of the ATYCLB material for some neglected more ballsy material...

so as i said in 2002/03/04/06/07 & 08 = ah well, maybe on the next tour eh!!

  8. No. It's just that interference is not the hell some people try to make it. They're just bigger. Just compare the setlist discussion here and the same there... identical
  9. You know what ?

We are a minority of fan ... !

The majority of U2's fan will be like this :

The Setlist is okay and Bono's voice is powerfull for this leg !
