I sing your praises for adding C'mon Everybody. Fan bloody tastic. Exit and Wire too.
  4. Coldplay and Kanye West support U2, who come onto the stage by aerial runway from the back of the stadium.

    segues Zoo TV-style into
    6. Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses / So Cruel (snippet). The band tease the crowd by singing the first verse of So Cruel then stopping abruptly.
    7. Tryin’ To Throw Your Arms Around The World / Three Little Birds (snippet)
    8. Angel Of Harlem / Dancing Queen (snippet)
    9. Stay (Faraway, So Close!)

--------------Bono leaves the stage, but the rest of the band stays on--------------------

    17. Pride (In The Name Of Love) sung by Edge
    18. Sunday Bloody Sunday / Please (snippet). Edge sings Sunday Bloody Sunday on the B-stage and remains standing there while Larry gets up and strides towards the drum kit that techies quickly set up on the B-stage.
    18 b). Van Diemen's Land
    19. We Will Rock You (Larry sings) at the end of this song Adam walks down to join them
    20. Give It Away sung by Adam, because the Chilli’s can’t sing anyway so he should be able to manage.
    21. 40 – extra long version sung by Edge then again by Larry, lasting 15 minutes, each of the remaining band members stopping one by one then starting up again one by one before stopping all at the same time and leaving the stage. It’s now about 35 minutes since Bono left the stage but the crowd are riding a wave of adrenalin from the blistering performances just delivered and so haven’t missed him too much. The stadium, which just happens to be situated just 2 minutes from a small airport, goes totally dark for about 5 minutes with just the crowd singing ‘How long to this sing song’. Suddenly red and white stage lights start flashing on a small spot on the right side of the stage as Adam Clayton starts to come up through the floor playing the bass part of Vertigo, with Edge playing the guitar intro while descending onto the stage in a glass elevator. Larry comes through the back drop, his drum kit on a small moving platform. Then you hear Bono’s ‘Hello Hello,’ coming from nowhere, with the crowd going crazy, shouting ‘Hello! Hello!’ back. Then all the stage lights swivel to face the sky and the crowd see an object above the stadium. Is it a bird, is it a plane? No it’s Bono skydiving onto the B-stage! The crowd redefine what it is to ‘go wild’ as Bono lands and shouts “veinti, cinco, mil, pieds!”, which is Spanish for 25000 feet. (For those fortunate enough to be Spanish, I apologise for any offence caused by calling you spaniards before Like A Song corrected me.)

    22. Vertigo / Stories For Boys (snippet) / She Loves You (snippet) / Pump It Up (snippet) / Jesus Walks (snippet)
    23. Elevation / Singin’ In The Rain (snippet)
    24. City Of Blinding Lights
    25. Beautiful Day
    26. Gone
    27. October
    28. New Years Day
    29. Satellite Of Love (snippet)/ Bad / Ruby Tuesday (snippet) / Sympathy For The Devil (snippet) / Dirty Day (snippet) / Some Days Are Better Than Others (snippet) / The Black Hills Of Dakota (snippet)/ The First Time (snippet) / So Cruel.
The band tease the crowd with So Cruel for a second time, making it seem like they’re going to play the whole thing only to stop two lines further on. However, U2 don’t just wind them up, they follow it with:
    30. One / She’s A Mystery To Me (snippet) /Unchained Melody (snippet)
    31. Red Hill Mining Town
    32. The Star Spangled Banner (snippet) / Bullet The Blue Sky / Rock The Casbah (snippet) / The Hands That Built America (snippet) / When Johnny Comes Marching Home (snippet)
    33. Running To Stand Still / Dirty Old Town (snippet) – Zoo TV version
    34. Kite
    35. Stuck In A Moment You Can’t Get Out Of
    36. Drowning Man

    ---------------------------------------Second Encore Break----------------------------------
The crowd are loving it, screaming out for another encore. There is a disturbance at the edge of the golden circle as two figures suddenly start crowd surfing, and lo and behold, it’s Adam and Larry! They get carried/moved/surfed onto the ellipse, walk to their instruments, and the stadium goes dark. Then Adam hits the first note of Zoo Station (yes, I mean Adam, playing the guitar) and the crowd start going mad. Again. A giant revolving pair of lemons descends down the rigging. They open, and there’s no-one inside. Bono and Edge walk on to the stage normally, just in time for Edge to start the bass part.
    37. Zoo Station - At the end of the song, Bono says ‘had you going there didn’t we’ to the crowd in reference to the empty lemons. Adam and Edge continue to play each others instruments
    38. So Cruel - With everyone expecting The Fly, U2 go into a full electric version of So Cruel, Bono somehow managing to nail all of the vocals perfectly
    39. Mysterious Ways / Sexual Healing
    40. Acrobat
    41. The Fly / Daddy’s Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car (snippet)

    -----------------------------------------Third Encore Break----------------------------------
U2 wear PopMart clothing for this part.
    42. Pop Musik / Mofo
    43. Discotheque
    44. Staring At The Sun
45.Desire / Money (snippet) / Gold Digger (snippet) / Hard Days Night (snippet) / Not Fade Away (snippet) (full electric version)
    46. Slow Dancing
    47. Ultraviolet (Light My Way) / My Way (snippet)
    48. Lemon
    49. With Or Without You / Shine Like Stars / Love Will Tear Us Apart (snippet) / Never Tear Us Apart (snippet)
    50. Love Is Blindness

    --------------------------------------------Fourth Encore Break----------------------------------
U2 get their hair cut/have wigs put on in the styles of the early 80's in record time and come on dressed as they did back then
    51. 11 O’clock Tick Tock
    52. Two Hearts Beat As One / Billie Jean (snippet)
    53. Surrender
    54. Walk On

And so it ends, with Grace (which is brilliant) being played over the PA as the crowd file out. The 5 1/2-hour mega show is hailed as the greatest gig ever played and even Muse, the most self-obsessed badn around, are forced to admit that it was ‘pretty much the best thing ever’. It is not only a big event in the music world, it is also a special day for the English language as to “Vertigo” someone becomes a by-word for totally stunning someone with brilliance.
  5. Nooooo! I forgot Exit and Even Better Than The Real Thing! Even Better is played over the PA as the band come down the aerial runway, Exit doesn't seem to fit in anywhere
  6. I think(although it's too long)that this playlist is best for now

(Spaniards, I realise that you don’t work in imperial measurements and I have used the word for foot as in the part of the body, but it makes more sense in my head to say feet than metres
It's correct to say "Pies". We would say "Twenty-five thousand foot (veinticinco mil pies)".

But please do not say "Spaniards". I hate it. You are not "Brits", we are not "Spaniards". You are British, we are Spanish. Thanks.

    OK. Friends again.

    Yep.

Why do you know some spanish pieces? Do you have any family here?
  12. Yeah my uncle married a spanish woman and they live over there(as I've said in another thread) so I studied spanish a little in order to speak to her and her relatives, but some of them spoke English and were eager speak it so I kinda gave up. It can be quite fun trying to have games of cards with her dad though, he doesn't speak English and we both tyr to use the fact the other can't understand us fully in order to bend the rules a bit. haha It's all in good spirit
