  1. After watching HMTMKMKM, it's surprising that Bono just had back surgery a couple of months ago....
  3. North Star is kickass, would like to see how it sounds with a full band though. Glastonbury, ahh..I don't think it's that good, but i'm riding on the fact that it's still a newborn, perhaps they'll perfect it and make changes to it over the tour. Something about the fact that it's dedicated to a specific thing kind of kills it for me, it's not very accessible. Intro jam was cool, can't wait to see em' next summer.
  4. Listened to both of the new songs. Don't love either of them but I could see them as two solid album tracks. Will have to take more time to consider though. Love the music on Glasto. Not sure about the vocal arrangement though

    Weirdest thing about that video for me was the WOWY intro after Batman. After hearing Mysterious Ways after it for so long it just sounded so wrong to my ears. Need another rocking tune inserted after it. (Such as UV)
  6. HMTMKMKM is definitely a step down from UV, UV has so much more energy and it actually fits in with the whole laser suit and light show.

  9. I guess i'll have to wait. Just took my first peek at the set list. They really must drop Elevation and/or Vertigo. Out of Control, In Gods Country, Even Better... all would be welcome replacements for me, not to mention 100 other songs.

    Couple of days ago, I said- "HMTMKMKM would be perfect if they keep the crowd in the dark and have a couple of Heath Ledger's Joker lines pumping through the speakers before the song kicks in"

    And "WHY SO SERIOUS?" sounds perfect right before ripping into it. Was that Ledger's voice thru the PA or was that Bono??
  11. and i heard they were rehearsing Trying to thhrow your arms around the world...I only hope it makes its way into the set for the USA shows, maybe replace In a little while and Miss...
  12. I think it was a pretty great set.

    - The intro sounded cool, and has a great title, but there's something about "soon" that is better to me... maybe because I was there to hear it?
    - "North Star" sounds nice...and I definitely want to hear the full band
    - "Glastonbury" is kick ass. I love the lyric "You are the miracle I came to find..." (if it's what I think it is!) <I know it's about the festival itself but I'm almost taking it as a love song for some reason>
    - I am so happy to hear HMTMKMKM back. I saw the video on youtube and wished and wished I could be there. I pray it stays in the set next year.
    - Also I'm eager to hear Discotheque in Crazy Tonight
    - And I eagerly await a good quality bootleg so I can get these new songs on my iPod!
