I couldn't agree more. This version of HMTMKMKM is really exciting, but I think it could be played after UV.

About the new songs, North Star is really growing on me, and Glasto is a normal song till now.

    Greetings from Brazil
  4. Looking at the vids, I feel that the great U2 are back. This is symbolized by the outfit that Bono's wearing. The most original since Popmart.
  5. Batman seems like a great replacement for Ultra Violet. Nice one.
Only judging by 2-3 videos, the band seems to be in the same playful mood it had during the 1st half of the 1st leg. Good.
As for the new songs, Glastonbury will be perfect to get myself a beer or 15, North Star is a nice little thing. They should keep working on it and not make it Stuck II.
They definitely should work on the setlist order. Feels a little like accelerate-break-accelerate-break. That's how it reads on paper...

Decent start, let's see what they add. I'm not gonna make it sober through the gigs, I fear - hope I'm drunk by the time the crazy remix comes on.
  6. wow, completly blown away by such a comeback...Great new songs, intro everything....on next monday, juhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuuu & Bono....
  7. TO be honest: HMTMKMKM is great, but it's not Ultraviolet in any way. But hey, I still want to hear it more than UV next Tuesday.

Would you prefer a accelerate-accelerate-break-break-break-accelerate-accelerate?? I don't think so. If they do 4 or 5 slow songs in a row, you would be saying "Ohh, what a pain in the arse, this sucks!!". I prefer 3-4 rockers + 2 slow + 3-4 rockers + 2 slow... It's just my opinion but I think it works better.

They should be going full speed all way through the show

Glad you know what I would think. You never cease to impress me.
And of course your opinion is better than mine. I didn't even notice that the setlist only contains of rockers and slow songs. Totally convinced now. Very indeed.
