1. Yep, I agree. I didn't find it extreeeeemeeeeely boring....which is something that doesn't happen very often nowadays. The most exciting One of 2009 was the Barcelona 1, and just because they fucked it up big time.

It's called adrenalin. It happens during the 4-8 first shows of every tour/leg, and then uses to vanish. Let's pray that he keeps it this time
  3. Listened to the boot. Excellent Loving the Stringray intro, Glasto and North Star. HMTMKMKM was good, had a few fumbles by Bono though. Discotheque snippet and Streets was pretty good as well considering it wasn't good in the last 2 legs.
  4. Bono's wee bit of guitar was nice. Edge was lively during the outtro too. Promising signs.
  5. Time to put the bootleg on my phone.

  6. That's the best U2 live moment I've experienced in person.
  7. personally im disappointed with the set-list.we were promised changes, but still basically the same set.-(except for the brand new songs, and getting rid of "uv" for "hold me, thrill me, kill me, kiss me".?
i would like to see "beautiful day", "vertigo", "city of blinding lights", "sunday, bloody sunday", "uf"..
...etc dropped- (they were played to death on the last leg of the tour), where is "gone", "kite", "sometimes you cant make it on your own", "out of control", "mofo", "lemon", "even better than the real thing", "dirty day", "discotheque"-(perfect for 360....etc......i dont want to hear the "hits"...the "crowd pleasers". someone was saying that those type of songs have to be played- to please the 50% fans. what about the 100% fans like me..?? ive been a die-hard u2 fan since the age of 13-(25 years ago), and been to every tour since "the joshua tree"- many times on each one. and this tour has to be the worst...and that hurts me to say that the set-list is piss poor, and the sound production is aswell. i know that the heights of zoo t.v will never be bettered....but hey!! c,mon guys dig deep into your repertoire and keep things interesting...please! i know bono has been laid up, so he has had to take things easy. but wtf have adam, larry and the edge been doing..?? not mixing it up thats for sure. i pray u2 dont become another "rolling stones" and do greatest hit tour...after tour...after tour. but its looking like that im sorry to say leaving out "breathe" and "unknown caller" is a bad move aswell. i thought "breathe" was ok as an opener, and "unknown caller" to me was one of the highlights of the last leg. same as im afraid boys and girls.::Z i hope the situation improves drastically before i attend the shows in brusells. peace. G.
  8. I wouldn't hold your breath for big changes bud, if you feel thy strongly bout it, sell your ticket to somebody who will enjoy it

You kind of answered your own question. Many of the songs you want dropped are "crowd pleasers," and U2 need/want people to keep buying albums/tickets. We diehards want those songs from Pop& Zooropa but I doubt we'll get more than one or two in a setlist.
  10. dont get me wrong.....im disapointed, thats all. if it comes to it i would be very happy to take "the crumbs from their table" off them. any u2 show is better than none. i seen them 5 times on the last euro leg, and with exception of cardiff it was just ok...ok and no more. yea, i got my rocks off got pissed and sang my heart out, and squeezed every drop out of the experiences i possibly could. but we were promised changes, and i was looking 4ward to that. at the end of the day any u2 show is better than none. i will gladly take the scraps they are throwing at us , and once again i will sing my heart out and get to that place where only a u2 show can take you. i think its a big, big waste to have that stage and lighting, effects etc.....and not match up to it with the right songs.i just cant figure it out... this was such a chance to the "mother" of all u2 shows..... surely they can see that. someone else was saying that they are frightened to not play the hits incase seats are left unsold, which in anybodys book means they are catering for the 50% fans- (casual ones..etc..)
is it really to much to ask....(or dream) that certain songs would be replaced by others..??
to keep things fresh and interesting.............i dont think it is to much to ask or dream. is it ?
one thing for sure........drop beautiful day as the opener.......please.

    from a disappointed pop-martian. G. peace.
  11. As has been stated before, this is merely a new LEG, not a brand new TOUR. ZooTV hardly changed at all, and when it did, it was only because Zooropa was released. Three BRAND NEW songs, plus two deep cuts is a bigger set change that probably any other leg of any other tour in recent memory.

I agree with you 100% .I have said this many times over.I just wrote that in my review of this last gig in Turin.Someone than wrote that I was "ignorant" to say that! The band had 10 months off between shows.Yes we got 3 new tunes, great.Drop Boots. Its a terrible song.UV is dropped.I like the Batman tune, but they should play both UV and Batman.Play diff songs from No Line.Cedars,Stand Up,Fez.Unkown Caller is a great song. And WHY do they have to END EVERY SHOW with MOS!!....Peace.
