talking of IEM's, watching that video yeah posted yesterday, when the band walked on you can see a fairly big ariel (like a mast) that I assume is for the IEM transmission? I've never saw it before but it's right there at the back of the stage.

then it is an antenna for iem receivers on stage. there are quite a few of them this year, like 15 as far as i can remember (and i'm too lazy to watch the video to check on numbers).

i'm on my eeepc right now, i'm unable to see any flash video, hd or not.
is it on http://depot.jyx.fr/00007_fixed.ts somewhere ? i've got this video in mind so i can pretty much tell what it is if it's on this one. (beware big file, for only one minute of video)

Boolteg is great, just a big pack of bouncy fun. Up to Vertigo now, fearing a slight downhill movement though...

Still yet to hear HMTMKMKM though, so looking forward to that.

Well my point of view is this: you went to a (great) show, lots of people there and you taped a show for free (of course you bought the equipment) you got something really great and exciting, so I would be excited to share it with other U2 fans as well. But I can see why they're not sharing do, they put work into that and don't want to give it away to us, lazy downloaders (lurkers).

I see 5 or 6 of the ones you mentioned before in that video. Didn't see the one I refered to though but the video is dark at the end. The one I see in the other video is like this :

it's always the same thing, people can't understand why things are kept private...
it's not because something is taped that it is due to everyone, there's money and time involved.

on a personnal note, when i go and tape a concert (whether it's audience, iem or video, or both, or the three of them) it's only for me, it's an egoistic thing to be able to have as a souvenir for me and my close friends. sometimes i give public gifts, like samples from a new song with a good quality, or complete audience recordings (i shared like 70 masters in the last two years) or even videos (i even shared a full hd raw video, weighting like 12Gb).

but then, and i'm sure every taper met at least one guy like that sometimes, there's one person that don't think it's enough, that want tapers to share everything they have taped, just for his own enjoyement when he wasn't even able to bring the gear to record the show himself. just as if in a way he deserved to have everything existing just because he calls himself a fan. well ... that ain't gonna happen

I understand that very well and I'm just happy and really grateful when someone does share. Happy with what I've got. Thanks for explaining, by the way.
