1. Drivin with a car to some concerts, listen to u2 music, with the knowledge, that in some hours concert will start... and then to be overwhelmed by the audience, the crowd, the sound....

Drivin back home..... and to look back on all the great emotions....

Would be nice to have that feeling like you right now!!!!!

    but no hannover for me...

    I drove last year 2000km home-barcelona-home

    and

    3000km home-berlin-amsterdam-home

  2. Drivin back home... and listening to the gig again.

This was my first 360 gig this leg, my 6th of the tour. The band seemed to have lots of fun, good to see many little moments where they just seem to be 4 guys loving what they do -and it's been a while since they pulled someone on stage. The set was boring if you just read it on paper. I agree. Being there, it worked quite well until Crazy. After that, it all seems a little too choreographed. But I guess it works fine if you only visit 1 gig or 2.
The segue from the Intro to BD doesn't really work, but Bono plays quite cool with his image.
NYD works good in that spot. Boots is a crowd pleaser. Magnificent should be kicked out immediately. Boring stuff. Mysterious Ways as good as always, Elevation quite powerful. Nice little alien Bono intro for I still haven't found... I could happily live without that song - has to be played in a stadium, though. Glastonbury... well... we won't see that one next tour.
In a little while sails on by, not bad, could be worse (Stuck anyone?) - Miss Sarajevo does no harm. Nice song...
Batman is a shadow of the Popmart versions but still a cool song. Hope it'll get dirtier with time. Was a little irritated with WOWY: There were moments where Bono actually sang the song and showed emotions. Good one.
As mentioned before, the dedication to Robert Enke was very special, since Robert was very important for this city and his death left they city - and even the country shocked for quite a while.
Great to see Larry in the jersey of my favourite club - and to hear Bono singing MoS instead of belting out the verses like Kermit Hitler.
Bono mixing up some things... it wasn't Wim Wenders' birthday and Paul McG wasn't born in Hanover... but who cares... Decent gig. In my book it can't beat Berlin or Amsterdam but was clearly better than Gelsenkirchen last year.

Nearly forgot: Dallas said they have a 4th new song ready to premier. Let's see if this comes true.
  3. Just got back from Hannover...GREAT show. Had hoped for a different setlist, but the band, the sound and the fans were great. At the entrance I used they had big signs saying that the show would be filmed has anyone heared anything about a new dvd from the tour??
  4. Were they "official" signs? I mean, they were not fan-made or something? hmmm sounds good

  5. Those signs are there on every show. For U2com videos and stuff...
  6. A 4th song..let's see what comes out of the closet.
  7. WOW!

    Was there yesterday-evening.
What an amazing concert, for me, it totally topped last years Amsterdam, Dublin and Gelsenkirchen concerts.
I mean, the opening was just amazing, I was jumping around like an idiot after only 1 minute! And so was everyone else around me.....

to tired now....hope to write a longer review later..

    Good to hear, man!

Very excited to hear your recording, yeah.
  9. A fourth song to premier? Well, we've had three...four is the lucky number, right? It's actually gonna be pretty funny if they play 10 or 11 new ones and then put them all out or give away albums on U2.com or at the show exits. I'm excited to hear that.

  10. I hadn't seen them, ever. Good to know, ok thanks

A fourth song? mmm sounds promising, and it helps to keep up the interest in the upcoming shows. They're smart

They have to drop it since they don't change the setlist that much...
