These are beautiful words and sum it up more eloquently than I could.

I was shocked, this thread was the first I knew.

    RIP
  3. Now I'm wondering if U2 will make a homenage to LP during the next tour...or something like Johnny Cash concert...

    RIP
  4. when i found out my first reaction was 'how sad, etc.' and second : 'well Miss Sarajevo is gonna stay permanent on the setlist foreveerr ' which is a good thing because i love it when he sings the opera.!!!! but i might be wrong cuz thats what i thought about the Wanderer when Johhny Cash died. but Idk i would love them 2 keep playing it...
  5. Yesterday morning and afternoon, both radio and TV were plagued by special programs dedicated to Pavaroti. Too sad.
  6. Funeral today. Bono in attendance

At least one "good" piece of news.
  8. Ten years ago today:

Probably (not sure about this) the last time Pavarotti performed in public with Bono...
  9. Much respect for the man.

But Bono doesn't belong here, and I don't mean at the event, because I'm sure Pav himself invited him, but Bono shouldn't touch opera unless it's in Miss Sarajevo paying homage to Pav. He sounds ridiculous attempting it and ridiculous next to maybe the biggest opera star ever.

Plus that has to be his worst look ever!
