1. I can see both sides of this. Yes, tapers wishes should be respected. I 100% agree. However, two song clips of a show versus the entire show is not a massive deal as far as what was done here. Who cares. Maybe I missed it (as I havent paid a lot of attention to this) but I didn't see where it was indicated that there was no matrixing of the recordings per the taper. If there was, then it was a blatant disregard for common courtesy. Otherwise, like I said, who cares.
  2. It was on u2mp3s? Them bastards banned me for nothing
  3. Thanks a million for the MF link, Casper
  4. Edge's vocals sound good on Glastonbury and make it sound better

    Thanks for uploading
  5. good effort !
  6. Thanks guys!

Listen to the songs right now
  7. Damn, one week from show date and we've got matrixes of the new songs. I love life.

    North Star is beautiful.

  8. You're one little funny guy. Did you ask U2 for permission to tape their show?!
  9. I thought the great U2 were such a taper friendly band that there's no need to ask for permission?
We invite people to tape our shows... yadda yadda... Did my Bono lie to me?
  10. Taping the sound produced by the PA is not the same as taping the waves emmited to their IEMs. We all know they approve the audience recordings (as long as you don't make money out of it, etc etc bla bla), but..... I don't think they approve the IEM recordings.

    True.
U2 can unofficialy support that and I believe that they do, but the other thing is law and copyright. I mean, I'm glad that tapers break the law because that way I can listen to bootlegs. And then I break the law because I share it with my friends. And I'm aware that McGuiness suffers horrible pain everytime someone downloads a bootleg.

But it's insane to ask people to ask you if they can use your recording of someones work.

    Gimme a break.

  12. Nice versions....
we are a few in a world of thousands...
