Obviously we are from the same place

When they were here last year, I asked people if they were interested in going with me. But people either hate Bono, or think U2 are too old. Apparently you can't be under 35 and like U2

People would go with me, but they aren't big fans, they just 'like' them. It's stupid though, you need to listen to the music first. HA, 35. Thing is, alot of people on these forums are under 35
  3. Currently ripping the b-sides of 40+ cd singles to FLAC. Broing

  4. Think i'll restrict myself to 1 decade per evening. Just too boring
  5. I'm getting my 14 year old sister into good music tonight.

14 was the age I started taking music seriously, what bands do you think I should introduce to her?

    Already done:-

    MBV
    Easyworld
    Smashing Pumpkins
    Oasis

    Coming up:

    Radiohead

And if you had to pick one U2 song that wasn't a single for her to hear, which one?

Too open-ended of a question....but considering what you've already shown her, band-wise, I would say...Last Night on Earth or Until the End of the World
  7. Ultraviolet or Dirty Day, I'd say. Heartland and Running To Stand Still can do the trick too but they're both too "slow" and not U2-representative enough.

You can't miss the oportunity of getting her into Muse (go into the Muse topic for songs recomendations), The Killers (same) and some older bands like AC/DC, Guns'n'Roses, Queen and maybe Nirvana and The Police.

Everyone but Nirvana was on the list
  9. Lawdy lawdy, if I didn't have U2 shows to get me through nights like this, I don't really know what I'd do.
