    Guggi.
  3. I wasn't too keen on the last American leg with his voice, it sounded tired and thin in parts on certain songs. But now that he has rested it, this leg he sounds fantastic I think. I think he even sounds better than the European leg. I think practice and rest is the most crucial thing for Bono's voice. Once he's got into the swing of things and allows himself plenty of rest for his voice, it seems to sound spot on!

I admit I don't like him smoking again, I have seen first hand how bad smoking addiction and problems it can bring with my father. I can only hope and assume Bono is smoking responsibly and not going to overindulge himself like before - he is smarter than that.

  4. These pics are old, saw them here on the forum some months ago, when I thought they were on someones homepage, think they're in the U2 sightings topic.
And yes, it's Guggi, not some homeless haha

Ya I agree, problem is Liam went from decent to absolutely horrible circa 2002

  6. Indeed. I mean, the album take of I'm Outta Time, he hits some beautiful highs, but I've not heard one good live performance from him of said song, and that applies to basically most live stuff I've heard throughout their existence.

amazing what some quality sound editing in the studio can do to one's voice

  8. Indeed indeed

It's part of why I've always preferred Bono as a frontman - they both have a shitload of charisma, but when Bono has off days, he's more inclined to hold tune. Not saying that's a given, we can all point to dodgy gigs, but Gallagher rarely seems to sing in tune, or even sing, for that matter - more of a snarl, especially in recent years. But yeah, I fear we might be going OT with this particular train of thought

  9. Indeed. I do love talking about Oasis though... Hopefully Bono sees how stupid smoking cigarettes is and kicks it now that he's not bored anymore. He's got work on a few albums to keep him occupied
