    which is a great song, anyway. people should stop moaning about the setlist. i'm pretty satisfied with it. much better than last year with the guarantee of songs like mw and uteotw those can't be missed.

    dropping NLOTH, Breathe and UC for oldies and then making a comment like Larry did about taking risks............ that is what I can't understand!

    UC and Breathe just didn't work with the majority, NLOTH was the best live song of NLOTH (:. ) but 70% of the audience didn't felt that way. I love those three songs too (although UC just didn't work, it was wayyy too soft).

    It never WILL work if you just stop playing it.
    Have some faith in your own songs, for heavens sake!

    Look at your nickname. It's U2 what you're talking about. U2. The biggest band in the world since almost 25 years ago, man. Let's get rid of that absurd "U2 should play small clubs and theatres again" super-fan thought, and assume that they're doing what they think is better for their business. A musical businness, yes, but a business after all. And playing 500-people clubs is not an option. It stopped being an option in 1983. And will never be, I think.

    I'd love to be proved wrong, but I thikn it's the truth. Let's face it.

    I see what you mean ofcourse, and I know it's not realistic to wish for small clubs. I know!
    I don't mean to say that they should play small clubs, I love seeing the big stadium spectacle. It's just that I get so frustrated about the twisted argument that it is supposed to be logical to drop NLOTH from the set, because a big part of the casual audience needs a little time to get used to the song and learn how to love it. Much of their greatest hits weren't instant "classics" after all ! A great song like NLOTH needs to played live to become an classic hit! Don't drop it know, but believe in you own song, that is all I'm trying to say here....
