I liked it, also nice artwork. Magnificent was a drab indeed.

I like Glasto, really rocky, some great lines too. 'Pocket full of sunshine'...
  2. Glastonbury has a cool intro, but the rest doesn't do it for me. Way too standard.

North Star is a nice little song, not a masterpiece, but easy on the ears. I enjoy it a lot.

Every Breaking Wave is my favorite so far, but it needs bass and drums - and a different guitar sound, but clearly Edge is using the Still Haven't Found settings for the new songs for now. It has potential.
  3. Stingray is a nice jam, Glasto has it's moment but sounds too flat/random to me. North Star sounds the most promising to me, acoustic sounded better than electric, though. Rather rare with U2.

Moby Dick shares a line with The Playboy Mansion - that's the best I could find about that song...
  4. Most looking forward to North Star as well, but we didn't hear a proper version of Breaking Wave, so, who knows.
  5. Love Love Love the vocal harmonies between Bono and the Edge on Every Breaking Wave. That's what U2 is all about to me. Love the blend of their voices.

Also some of the best lyrics i've heard in a long time

Yeah from what I remember Every Breaking Wave had all sorts of epic. It was like a 6 minute electro thing sooo It's up in the air how great it can be.

Ya wasn't it too long that it had to be cut off of No Line?

  8. indeed. it was a rousing anthem, as I recall what Bono said last year. So...

  9. ...they must have overcooked it again

  10. I hope they kept it as it was. Just really wanna hear the studio version.
  11. EBW definitely needs an anthem chorus that's for sure. It builds and it builds but it goes completely nowhere. I love that it has so much potential though. I just hope Bono doesn't fuck it up with some random Lyrics that sound like what was placed in Winter "we're like butter on toast"
  12. EBW sounds a bit like North Star to me. Can't judge after one listen though.
