They put on a good show live but they don't take it anywhere else like I feel U2 and Springsteen do. They execute the songs well but that's all that is there in my opinion.

Thus while I will always enjoy seeing Muse, they'll never be anything more to me than just a good band that I enjoy listening to

    Yeah, I get that.

Same, i guess U2 the master of these kinda things, each show is designed to flow and to maximise each song to its full potential; the lead into streets, the intro, encores, segues between songs. I kinda get the feeling Muse pick a opener and a closer, and randonize the middle bit, i guess its less of a show and more of a plain gig

I agree with that point for sure. However to me it still feels like they could play more for the crowd at the gigs, even without incorporating big show elements like U2 does. I use Bruce as my example, His stage setup is incredibly basic and he plays lot of different songs. However he feeds off the energy of the crowd and seems to play every gig like his life depended on it. Muse doen't really have this energy about them which to me is their biggest shortcoming as a live act.

yeah i agree thats also a factor, theres hardly any interation towards the crowd, maybe lucky to get your town mentioned by Matt or Dom. Its like they just role in and do the job then role out again. The Resitance tour seems to be the worst for it aswell, the two gigs i went to in 2006/07 had a good few song introductions and some degree of interaction, didn't really feel that at the last gig i went too, though that was after my first U2 gig

This is exactly how my friend feels about them. She likes their music and had a fun time when she saw them last March, but didn't think they tried to connect with the audience. She was very disappointed by their lack of interaction with the fans.

  6. I was in Krakow, too.
Nice setlist with Bliss, fantastic show and atmosphere. Good festival organization.
Great, great night... love MUSE! (...and fucking hate Panic at the disco)

I also saw them last march. Maybe they just had a rough month

Absoutely agree. I like listening to their boots and think they play live amazingly (hence all the live act awards I guess). But as gig / experience something is lacking and I think you've hit the nail on the head.
U2 can have a shocking night in terms of Bono's voice or setlist options, but you'd be a hard person indeed not to be moved and swept up by it all.
I've never seen Bruce live but I've seen enough DVD's to know that the same applies there (for different reasons).
  9. Has anyone else tried to watch any of their official videos on youtube lately? Every single F-ing video is blocked and I get "This video contains content from WMG, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds". Seriously?! WTF?! It's a sad day when I can't legally watch one of my favorite band's videos online...
    Sorry rant over
  10. It's a happy day when you have all their official videos downloaded in your PC as a high-definition video files
  11. Who cares videos... Music is still great without videos.
Currently I can't get enough of Dead Star. My song of the Month
  12. the official site has all the official ones available for streaming in the media player section aswell as live b-sides, quite handy to have if youtube is being a pain
