It's Russia and things like that are expected. Maybe those groups didn't get certain permissions for their tents? Who knows... anyway, it's Russia, a lot of things there are different then in the west.

Just look at the bright side, they got first U2 show EVER...and that's a huge thing!

I mean, I was in Torino few weeks back and I almost went crazy because of italians and their so-called "organisation".

guys, don't say "fuck Russia". you should not blame a whole country because of the military structure there. it is well known how things work there. listen to what Marina has said. the pure fact that she apologizes for the way the guests in her country were treated should say enough about the Russian people

it's the political system, not the Russian people that caused the trouble yesterday.
I'm glad for the Russian U2 fans (and those from abroad who came as guests into the country) that they had a wonderful night with U2.
the arresting and everything else is a different thing. don't mix it up with the concert itself. just my two pennies, no offence to anyone

Of course, but what do you and me actually know about living in Russia? Aaron said stereotype things about Mexicans. And I know what other countries think of Holland (harddrugs next to the milk and the chocolate in the supermarket). All we know are the things that are news worthy (aka bad news)

it's just sad that things like this happen. I hope this incident will not stop U2 from playing there again, but I believe not

We don't even know our country when WE (Dutchmen) say that our country is very tolerant and liberal. But anyway, I agree.

LikeASong, MacStripey and others.... Thank you for saying such nice things. You understand everything correctly.

Please. try to understand that Russia has a very heavy history, a very complex relationship of people and power. It always has been. We have a completely different life than in Europe or America. So please, do not have to insult my country, sometimes, sympathize its better.

I want to again apologize for the chaos that the police arranged at the entrance. and apologize for the fact that the volunteers were arrested. They really were not recorded, but this does not excuse the behavior of the police. Once again, we have a very difficult situation in the country.
