1. We went back from our vacation and City Of Blinding Lights came on the radio....Long time since U2 was on the radio and I heard it....
  2. Yesterday at work, WOWY...and SYCMIOYO, but it was the short radio edit
  3. I know its not a U2 song, but what the hell...... at work, during lunch, Penny Lane came on the radio..... that made it all worth going in today lol....
  4. I was down the pub lastnight and sunday bloody sunday from UABRS came on! 'this song is not a rebel song...'
  5. Shopping at Walgreens (a stateside convience/pharmacy) Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses ,comes on ,had to keep shopping till the end
  6. flowerchild and me were in our favorite Irish pub last night, and they had a live band playing Irish folk songs... and suddenly they came up with playing "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" -- that was nice
  7. nice topic

This summer I went to Italy for 3 weeks to do some volunteer work. I had my ipod with me, but stupid enough I forgot the headphones. I searched for them in every possible shop but couldn’t find them so I was a little disappointed, no actually I was desperate to hear a u2 song.
On a free day we went to a swimming complex. We decided to get some food over there, and while we were waiting to order, ‘with or without you’ was on the radio, you can imagine how happy I was.
(Oh yes, 1 or 2 weeks later a girl of our group discovered she had headphones with her).
    +
When I have to stand up early for schooldays ‘Beautiful day’ is often played on the radio, perfect solution for a bad mood in the morning.
  8. On vacation Angel of Harlem was played a lot by the live bands in cafés and bars. But my mouth fell open when they did When Love Comes To Town. Heard I Still Haven't found a few times as well.

    Your avatar is awesome.
  10. I was feeling down and depressed and suicidal one day and to cut the story short, I was crying on my knees beside my bed, and I had my radio on, and out of no where "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of" started playing. Suddenly I then felt as if everything was going to be OK and the song had basically snapped me out of my depressed feeling and thoughts.

A lot of people criticise ATYCLB as an album, but for me I will always have place for it as it was there for me to listen to when I was going through a rough time in my life, and it really comforted me and helped me through it.

    God bless U2's music.

It's wonderful what music can do to all of us

  12. Totally forgot about this topic... Good you brought it back

I just read all the pages again and well, i must say... My English DID suck, you lying bastards !

Also, when i was "complaining" about the forum some time ago, you'll might understand it when you read this whole topic again : a few years ago, this was a small and tight, very warm community
That has changed a bit with the huge number of new fans and i kinda missed that when there were some impersonal/cold reactions or closed topics etc.
Anyway i still like it here so i'll keep coming back and want to apologize for some frustrated posts in the past !

That's a strong story you tell there...
I hope you're feeling better now then!
