That would be what some call "Soon"; the song used as opener during the previous legs of 360.
  3. lol...Every Breaking Wave makes me think of the intro to The Fly on the Elevation Tour...

  4. Believe me, you're not the first person who's noticed this. I've heard this about 213421342 times already. It's only the fact that the first chord is similar in the progression, and that he's using delay single notes. Other than that, I'm sure the actual song will have a distinct guitar part. He was essentially only playing an "acoustic" version of it.

  5. Was the first thing it made me think of when I heard it (just a few moments ago for the first time)

Not too bad, cause I like that intro

Good song, but it could use some big ending...I think

Yup, I'm no guitar technicus, but you could be right there

  6. Omg, it does. I only just noticed that as you said it.
  7. Finally found the correct lyrics for Every Breaking Wave:

I remember lying awake at night and thinking just of you
But things don't last forever and somehow baby
They never really do They never really do

  8. Has anyone else noticed that Every Breaking Wave sounds like The Fly the Elevation Tour version?

    ONLY JOKIN!!!!
  9. These are kinda cool, some dude in Sweden made his own versions of full band versions of the new songs. Obviously they're his ideas, and the actual versions may or may not sound like this, but it's cool to see the potential. I especially like North Star.:

    North Star

    Every Breaking Wave

The glastonbury one he has is just that cover we've all seen already, which sounds cool.

  10. Every time I hear "Every Breaking Wave" I just melt.

How does he get his guitar to sound so perfectly clean? Just fresh strings, a good EQ, and compression to make the notes pop through the delay?

Yep, pretty much. The AC30's are exceptionally clean amps as well, plus his strat pickups are probably low output. Those mixed with compressor get that smooth, clean, poppy sound.
