1. Which U2 CD's do you believe play most as an "Album" versus a "Collection of Songs".

    Albums
    Unforgettable Fire
    The Joshua Tree
    Achtung Baby
    Zooropa
    Pop
    NLOTH

    A Collection Of Songs
    Boy
    October
    War
    Rattle And Hum
    ATYCLB (Almost made "Album)
    HTDAAB

    Your thoughts?
  2. They are all albums, and all have their own personality.

Whilst some albums are stronger than others, they all represent a time in place for U2's career.

The compelation cd's & b-side cd's are the collection of songs, when you have grown up with each and every one of U2's albums, you take them, digest them, listen over & over again, i just cannot see how they are just a collection of songs.
  3. Agree with Stu. Some of them have more of an "albumesque" flow then other albums. But they still all sound like albums to me, especially compared to some of the "albums" that other bands put out there
  4. HTDAAB is a collection of songs, as is Rattle & Hum. Not saying its necessarily a bad thing, its just the way it is.
  5. some of the ones on my "collection list" were tough calls...HTDAAB was not.
  6. I consider Boy and October albums. They all have a central theme. Boy is about uncomfortable sexuality and growing up, while October is all about God.
