1. Great, a musical with u2 songs, bit strange but still great!

I can’t watch any of the posted video’s in this topic, only this one. Nice tune, imo it sounds a bit like a ‘musical’ tune (I used to watch musicals often when i was young, nowadays i'm not really in to it anymore )
But what is it that they have with all those superheroes? First batman, now spiderman…
  2. I hate musicals. Indeed
On the other hand I FREAKING LOVE SPIDER-MAN!!!!! Best stuff ever.
    Spider-man and U2? Sounds perfect.
  3. Just turned on GMA and heard the second half of the song. Sounds good -- very much like something that could be on the proposed "rock" album. But its hard to guage when someone else is singing it.

    Someone post the video!
  4. Not very surprising that the debut song is Boy falls from the sky, but still a really promising tune. Would love to hear that one performed by U2 (no, not as Beach Clip).

Is Boy Falls From The Sky the same song as All My Life?

BONO AND EDGE DISH ON SPIDER-MAN MUSICAL

(note: the image is of The Green Goblin and Swiss Miss - not Bono and the Edge)

Bono and The Edge joined Julie Taymor and Reeve Carney on ABC's Good Morning America this morning to promote Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. Bono said of Reeve Carney prior to debuting "Boy Falls From the Sky," "This is like the old man giving the keys to the new convertible to the young kid and knowing that he's probably going to drive it faster than than I would, but hoping he gets home safe." When asked if the music will have a U2 sound, Bono said, "It swerves all over the road and that's the fun from a U2 perspective. Big rock and roll tunes, melodrama, big melodies, orchestral stuff too."

Bono said that he and The Edge were interested in doing a Broadway show for quite some time, so when veteran producer Tony Adams came to them to pitch the idea, they were very excited. Bono said they wanted to make the musical come to fruition to honor Adams and his family after Adams passed away of a stroke in Edge's apartment on the day Bono and Edge signed on to do the show.

Taymor showed images from the musical where the audience will see New York City come to life. Making it very physical, the sets will pop-up like pop-up books and the Brooklyn Bridge will jump out over the audience. She also showed costumes for The Green Goblin and a new character, Swiss Miss, who is made of Swiss army knives and who will "cut New York to pieces."

Tickets to on sale this Sunday for Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark.
  7. sounds promising, very much Edge sound

  8. yea not that bad at all. I dont like the singer thou. Is he the main chracter, Peter Parker?
  9. So, who's gonna start to compare it with the 4 years old Beach Clip we have?
  10. - It sounds really promising

    - When I listen to this, I see a mix of all U2 have been doing for thirty years : sometimes it reminds me either Boy, or Pop, or HTDAAB, among others.

    - I'm frustrated not to see the band play this song instead of this man that just sounds at least in this performance.
  11. why isn't U2 performing? I thought they wrote the song
