1. The 2006 Robbie Williams concert was in December, which I queued all day for and I don't remember it being unbearably hot, but my face, arms and legs were bright red from sunburn and it was so painful trying to move after the concert. Melbourne's weather can change quickly too so it's hard to say, but it doesn't generally get close to 40C until January/February.

40 degrees is usually a regular occurence here, as long as if I'm there beforehand 3 hours or so, that I don't feel like throwing up waiting to go in and that it's 40 degrees then. That said, you can always get up the front if you're so inclined to do so when the support is usually finished - or so that's my experience with bands such as Rogue Traders (urgh), The Living End (awesome) and Noiseworks (even better).

Jay-Z's set works well too because I can test my camera, see best settings for it and all that and find a place that does drinks and whatever.

Yeah Adelaide gets some horrible weather in summer, we get 3 or so days of 40 degrees and everyone's complaining and then on the news it's like Adelaide has had 10+ straight days of 40 degrees, so you'll be fine. They gave out bottles of water to the GA crowd when we were in the stadium waiting which I thought was really good.

They do normally divide the GA crowd half way though to prevent a Pearl Jam like crush so just be wary of that and I had the same plan to test my camera with Kanye West but they didn't turn the lights off and it was still daylight, but more importantly you paid money to go to a Rogue Traders concert?

The worst days are those 40 - 50 degree days. Urgh - ten days of it.

I knew you'd say that about Rogue Traders. Nah the V8 supercars - the Clipsal 500 - they have after-race shows presented by the various radio stations here and so you get three bands in one night. Cool idea and something to kinda 'party out to' after the six or so hours you're there. I wouldn't have paid to have seen them by themselves though - The Living End I think were the final act. All it was it looked for RT was like a drum machine and a few synthesisers as well and some backing vocal machine. Cool setup but live would have been really impressive.

I'll remember that about the GA divide too - I didn't know that but now I do. And as long as there's water going around that should be good too.
  5. It would be a little unusual them not doing 3 shows in Melbourne and Sydney. I'm just stoked that for the first time they are doing two shows in Brisbane. I'm hoping the setlist will be different down here. I'm hoping that they would have gotten sick of playing Elevation, WOWY and Vertigo after Europe and maybe pull out a couple of NLOTH tracks that they disposed of. But I'm just happy they're coming really.
  6. looks like GA for melbourne 2 has sold out. FARK YEAH

  7. considering it took 2 days to sell out they mite think that a 3rd show wud prob fail to sell out at all, i duno how they think
  8. So no 3rd concerts in Sydney, Auckland ?
  9. Surely they would have announced more by now if they were going to do more.

  10. yeh none of the 2nd shows looked to have sold out yet

  11. None of the first shows have sold out
I'm still trying to be optimistic about Melbourne 3, melbourne 2 is the only one that has sold out of everything but the 2 most expensive ticket categories.
