i was too busy with the camcorder and the iem to be able to make an audience at the same time.

alysha's recording has more bass but that's because i mastered our recording to remove some of it since it was too powerful in my ears.

    enjoy both recordings anyway

So you recorded an IEM after all ....

Great job, TOP job. Thanks a lot for getting home that soon and mastering and uploading your recording so quick (Juraj??? ). I will have a full listen to it when I find them time and finish my exams but a quick listen to Mercy and Streets tells me your recording is brilliant. Thanks a lot Julien
  3. I say, the best U2 concert for years.
Maybe even since the post 9/11 shows.
  4. We're truly spoilt with all these boots to choose from so quickly. Thanks very much to all who've shared
  5. BIG thank you to all the tapers. I'm sooooo excited to hear this one!
  6. Ok I have a really stupid question How can the edge and adam play their instruments in the pouring rain without them getting soaking wet and shorting-out or being ruined or something?? It doesn't look like from any of the photos I've seen that their instruments are covered up or protected from the rain in anyway. I have been wondering that since the Moscow show...
  7. I cant believe a boot is already up.And the sound is the best,as good as Frankfort, and from the same taper.I cant believe the quality.Frankfort,Vienna and Zurich all sound great. But Zurich is such a great great show.I have listened to the whole show twice already. This was not an ordinary show. The rain!!Mercy!!!OMFG!!!!! One word...exceptional.
  8. That might be one of the greatest bootlegs ever. The recording is sooo perfect. BIG BIG BIG thanks to the taper

I don't have an answer for you, because I've been trying to work that out myself. Since Edge and Adam (probably to a lesser extent) are really particular with their gear I don't understand how they would just play them in the rain because as you said they could get damaged, not to mention the safety issue if that is an issue..do they maybe use backups or something?
  10. OMG!!! I can't believe I just heard and saw Mercy performed LiVE!!!!!!!!
Freaking Amazing!!! I love that song!! Awesome!! Awesome!! Awesome!!!
Definitely gonna get the boot !! Thanks guys!!!
  11. Since U2 have been playing in the rain for more then 30 years and are basically used to it, I would guess that they have taken all the necessary precautions - like any other band who plays open air gigs - to prevent their instruments from getting damaged. The techs are doing a great job behind the scenes and technically the gear is better and more resistant now than it was 20 years ago. I'm sure they are all up to date as far as technology is concerned, and their instruments as well as the whole stage and screen and all are made to be used in every kind of weather, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. If it were any other way we would never see a concert played in the rain by any band. If you are used to playing huge open air gigs, you just have to be prepared for every kind of weather and the same goes for your gear.

The only time I really saw a concert being cut short because of the weather was at a festival last year when the electricity went out because of a major thunderstorm.
