1. I don't know if U2 are planning on releasing one or not, but this is a hypothetical track list for the final installment in the trilogy:

    1. Vertigo
    2. Walk On
    3. Magnificent
    4. All Because of You
    5. Elevation
    6. Breathe
    7. North Star
    8. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
    9. No Line on the Horizon 2
    10. Kite
    11. Mercy
    12. Get On Your Boots
    13. Original of the Species
    14. Moment of Surrender
    15. City of Blinding Lights
    16. Every Breaking Wave

think we already have this topic but i think u got it just right. I dont like the order thou. Walk On needs to further in the list. MOS will be the last one. And yea they are definitely gonna open the album with Vertigo.

  3. All That You Can't Leave Behind has already been covered on 1990-2000.

  4. Nah, maybe something like this:

    1) Vertigo
    2) Get On Your Boots
    3) Glastonbury
    4) Magnificent
    5) City of Blinding Lights
    6) new song for the compilation
    7) No Line on the Horizon
    8) Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
    9) something from the Spider Man musical
    10) Every Breaking Wave
    11) I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
    12) All Because Of You
    13) Mercy
    14) Original of the Species
    15) Moment of Surrender

And have a b-sides album shit-filled with remixes.

really? they've already opened one album with it, i'd say start with COBL.

  6. Hmm, interesting, here's my idea of the album:

    1.Vertigo
    2.Get On Your Boots
    3.City Of Blinding Lights
    4.Magnificent
    5.Moment Of Surrender
    6.North Star
    7.Crumbs From Your Table
    8.Miracle Drug
    9.Mercy
    10.Breathe
    11.Glastonbury
    12.Every Breaking Wave
13.I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
14.Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
    15.Fast Cars
    16.Original Of The Species
    17. No Line On The Horizon 2

I would guess it might be something like that, quite a lot of singles from HTDAAB, which I believe will be on there, even if I dislike some of them.
  7. 1. City Of Blinding Lights
    2. Magnificent
    3. Vertigo
    4. Every Breaking Wave
    5. No Line On The Horizon
    6. Yahweh
    7. North Star
    8. Original Of The Species
    9. Mercy
    10. Get On Your Boots
    11. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
    12. One Step Closer
    13. All Because Of You
    14. Your Blue Room (new studio version based on the live performances with the new lyrics/singing part at the end)
    15. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
    16. Moment Of Surrender

My best guess. All singles plus fan favourite album tracks and a few new songs, a la Best Of 1990-2000.

One Step Closer is the "WTF The First Time?" of this compilation.
  8. 1. Magnificent
    2. Vertigo
    3. Every Breaking Wave
    4. Get On Your Boots
    5. No Line on the Horizon
    6. North Star
    7. Mercy
    8. All Because of You
    9. Boy Falls From the Sky
    10. Unknown Caller
    11. Fast Cars
    12. Glastonbury
    13. City of Blinding Lights
    14. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
    15. Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own
    16. Breathe
    17. Moment of Surrender
  9. They do silly compilations because Beatiful Day is on 1990-2000, so is Stuck but Elevation, Kite and Walk on are not... ... also Electrical Storm is on there even though it clearly should be on 2000-2010, same with The Sweetest Thing which does not belong in the 1980-1990 Best Of, unless it was the original.

P.s. U218 Singles was pointless (but I still bought it )

Ill guess at this next one:

    1. Vertigo
    2. Get on Your Boots
    3. Magnificent
    4. City of Blinding Lights
    5. Windown in the Skies
    6. One (Feat. Mary J Blige)
    7. The Saints are Coming
    8. Sometimes You Can't Make it on Your Own
    9. Elevationn...?
    10. Walk on...?
    11. I'll Go Crazy if I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
    12. Original of the Species
    13. All Because of You
    14. Unknown Caller (or) Kite
    15. Mercy
    16. Moment of Surrender
    17. Evert Breaking Wave
  10. 18 Singles did have the Milan DVD and the two new songs - not that either was that great except for Window In The Skies - so it was kinda adding something.

I'd be disappointed with a 2000 - 2010 only cos it'd be another version of Beautiful Day and Elevation and whatever other crap that came out this decade. A set such as Medium Rare And Remastered (the first disc anyway) or one of the 'vaulted' live shows in top quality that came out on iTunes like Boston 1981 or the final Lovetown night would be much more welcome - and worthy.

Just PRAY that they don't stave off this so-rumored Songs of Ascent until it comes time for TBO00-10, and they throw EBW, North Star, and Mercy on the disc and say "UNRELEASED TRACKS! NEW U2!!" And that's the end of it

And unless it has an added bonus that makes it worth having such as a live show or B-sides or alternate takes, then I won't touch it. What would be cool - and this is the kind of thing that wouldn't sell much but the hardcore fans I'm sure would be interested.

Disc 1: Music videos and animated CGI videos for some songs.
Disc 2: A live DVD of the new songs and other selected songs not on any other release.
Disc 3: Alternate takes and early demos of other songs from those sessions.
Disc 4: A 90-minute documentary showing how the songs were recorded and studio sessions.
Disc 5: 10 remixes of each song mixed by the best DJs in the business.
Disc 6: DVD-audio mixes and DTS upmix options.
Disc 7: B-sides and demos from other albums e.g. Pop, Zooropa...
Disc 8: A-capella and instrumental mixes.
Disc 9: Photos and interviews with the band and other random people on the street.
Disc 10: Band soundbites for the hell of it.
Disc 11: A blank CD-R disc for cheap laughs.
Disc 12: Mercy in ultra-high-quality MP3 and FLAC.

All with deluxe liner notes in a fucking huge cardboard box, an online redemption code for something else online to extend your experience, a vinyl of Every Breaking Wave and fancy artwork with a collectors hardback book.
