1. hi there,

I'm trying to acquire a high-res photo of that classic bono-turlington shot where he's got the magic marker out and he's kissing her bare back, on which he's written "never trust a cowboy." i know that somebody has uploaded an image on this site (http://www.u2startcontent.com/photos/351-81559-size2.jpg), but the resolution is too low for me to get a clear 24" by 36" facsimile. anybody have any files/suggestions? thanks!
  2. It was uploaded by me, and that's the highest resolution I've got that photo. Is it really small for you?

  3. And it's my avatar too
  4. Of course. It's a great photo... If this user really really needs it I can try to scan it from U2byU2, I know exactly on which page it is (244 )
  5. That does look great - I don't understand why it won't work either. The site I'm using (posterbrain.com) is telling me that it won't look very sharp if it's enlarged to a poster-size 24" x 34". Do you know of any way to increase the resolution on this image? Is that even possible? Or am I just talking nonsense?
  6. You cant. I doubt rescanning will help as well. Since books arent printed at high resolution
  7. I can do a 400ppp scan in a few minutes - I hope my PC can handle the +10MB image it wil result
  8. Thanks! If that works I will be eternally grateful!
  9. It's a 3200x4600 pixels image so it's pretty big, you shouldn't have any problem printing that

I'm having trouble with the upload so I'm gonna lower a bit the resolution - nothing remarkable, just allows my old-pc-and-crappy-internet-connection to upload it without problems.
  10. Awesome - thank you! If it's easier to send by email/any other way, let me know!!
  11. Wow that looks great, thank you! I don't mean to be a bother (and if doing this again is, please don't worry about it), but would there be any way to do a re-scan and capture the full image? While this is certainly the size I need, I see parts of the top and bottom are cut off. Since the goal here is to get a poster size copy and have it framed (which I'll spend a bit of money on), I'd really only pursue this further if I had completely intact replica, the biggest size possible. If you think that'll be too hard or the scan area is too small, that's totally fine! I'll just keep up the hunt.
