1. U2 will always be the top band for me, but for anyone who needs a boost after the weak lyrics, dull melodies and sonic flatness of NLOTH (imho) you should check out the new Manic Street Preachers album.

They are in the form of their life.
  2. ^^ what he said.
    Good stuff.
  3. Top band. They are on the bill with Snow Patrol this Thursday in Dublin. Tickets just do not seem to exist though sadly.
  4. I like like like them, specially their politic stuff, and the Everything must go album is one of my most-scratched CDs.
  5. Saw them few years ago when they were opening for Bob Dylan, they didn't blow my mind.
  6. I love them, Everything Must Go and Gold Against The Soul are two of my favourite albums ever.

not heard the new one yet; it's good you say?
  7. Yeah, it is very good and their most complete record since Everything Must Go.

The new one (postcards from a young man) has strings. gospel singers and guest spots from Ian McCulloch, John Cale and Duff Mckagen.

it also features JDB's best guitar work this decade.
