As long as I have a decent quality recording, the original one will be the one on my ipod, so it's more like "Hold on, hold on tightly!"

  3. haha touche "Its just a moment this time will pass"
  4. I enjoyed this A LOT the other day. Some folks around me were familiar with the song, but I was the only one who knew the new arrangement. It was great
  5. The song is not finished, but is going to be a great song . Althought I prefer " North Star ", " Mercy " is a great one to !
  6. Can't wait for this fucker to be released properly, it has been screaming out for years to be released in some shape or form.
  7. I'm happy to say that I prefer the demo version, just felt it was more fluid. Having said that, I didn't rate it at all when I first listened to it, strangely enough (in comparison to the thoughts of others I've come across over the years), but given time it won me over.

There's a few things about the live version that don't QUITE do it for me, e.g. it feels a bit cobbled together and the chorus is a bit 'hmm', to get all onomatopoeic for a moment - I thought the bridge between the verse and chorus in the demo works better, and I think Edge sounds a bit restrained with the riff - I know that may sound odd bearing in mind it's only 3 notes at most lol, but I think it should stand out alongside the vocals rather than colour the background.

It's got its plus-sides though, for sure - I like the combination of the piano with the guitar part during the verse; I think the solo works nicely (short but sweet); I quite like the 'because because' bit, and hey, they're actually playing it in some form, which, like Gerard said, is one hell of a curveball for them to throw out. I'm gutted that a large chunk of the NLOTH material got dropped in the 3rd leg BUT it's quite astonishing to see they replaced much of it with new or rare material, rather than simply just resort to staples of the last couple of tours alone.
  8. Just gonna bump this baby up.

I fucking love this song and I am so glad I got to see the final ever U2 performed version of it. What a beauty
  9. I'm gonna put it on now too, what the heck
  10. I don't despise the new version as much as many others do, and it was great to see it live. It was like a small victory of the fans over the band, in a good sense. Many fans had requested the band to perform this song over the years and they finally got them to do it.

Now, let's do the same with Acrobat and Heartland
  11. Was heartland recently (or ever) played live or soundchecked ?

I think I like Mercy's How To Dismantle sessions version best.Bono has this proficiency in singing in the studio that sounds so emotional.
