  1. Hey guys...
    I guess not many of you (or maybe none of you) have heard traditional Iranian music. As an Iranian I just wanted to show you a bit of it...if I may! And I'm also curious to know if any of you will actually like it!
    The best singer of our traditional music alive right now, is Mohammad Reza Shajarian. He is a Master of Persian music.
    Now...I'm gonna show a video from youtube...it is one of his concerts, the song is Morghe Sahar. I can say that with very little doubt that this song is the most known and most loved song between Iranians. You almost can't find an Iranian (unless they're very young!) who haven't heard (of) it!

    Shajarian is the first one shown singing...the guy to his right is his son, Homayun, who has a very close voice to his father and is probably going to be just like him when he gets older!

  2. Well, I heard it from a friend a couple of years ago. This kind of music. It is not really my thing, but I like the instruments that are used and the emotion of the attendance like people with tears streaming down their faces. I do not like the singing. But maybe that is just me and it is also different if you cannot understand what it is about.

    What I love about this kind of music are woman that are singing and then this traditional instruments mixed in it, like often used in soundtracks of movies. They have such a great emotion, this kind of songs, which I had more of them.

  4. Well...of the two political figures of U2Start, one of them like the music! Well, that's great!

    The lyrics...actually it's a poem written by a famous Iranian poet when he was in jail at the time when the famous Shah's father (Reza Khan) was king. It's an amazingly beautiful poem...wish you could understand it
