  1. When I would first hear the news I would be very sad, also for the reason never see them live again
    But then feel happy to have lived in the same age as them and gotten so much strength from their music, and see them live so many times as I could

    Also they get older and I wish them to spend then a long time with their families, which is something they deserve

    But they need to go out with a few big bangs in Dublin as farewell
  2. Bah, probably have a huge hangover for a few months, like Remy said. But I will never, never stop to listen U2 and probably no other band will ever make me smile, cry, cheer, jump, touch as much as U2 did and will do.
  3. Why stop though? Just bring it down a little bit for live, do some great shows and keep recording without the pressure of the mainstream.

  6. I feel like I discovered this amazing band too late. I'm angry on myself not discovering them earlier, time just goes too fast.
    The thing is, i'm affraid my first U2 concert will also be the last, and I really don't want to see that happen.
    I think they should continuing making new songs, cause i believe they can, as long as they follow their hearts and enjoy it.

    I will sing, sing a new song...

    So if U2 broke up... dudes... I think It will be the end of an AWESOME love story between me & them...
  10. I'd miss the live side of things but the upside would be the influx of unreleased tracks, outtakes, sessions & live album after live album that the record companies like to dish out.
  11. Depending on how they did it, I'd have nothing but the utmost respect for them.

    Unless it was for one of the members to pursue a different direction, or bullshit like that. I hate that.
  12. I'm not sure how i would take it; i find their music important to me, my own interpretation and meanings of songs throughout their albums is like no other band. However, though the prospect of new albums, songs and live shows will no longer be there, its the bands previous work which is personally the most important thing, and is something that can never be taken away. The band is getting on abit now and i'm always finding new ones to see and enjoy, but U2 will probably always be top of the play count.
