I would miss new stuff coming out.
I would miss ticketstress for new tours.
I would miss seeing them live.
I would miss checking out where they are and what stuff they're working on.
BUT
I'd still enjoy listening to the tons of music I own in different formats.
I'd still say to everyone U2 is the best that ever happened in my "musical journey".
I'd still think back happily of all the good moments U2's music & performances have given me.
I'd still wear my JT tattoo with pride.
The Police broke up many years ago but the hope to see them once again together always was there... And in 2007 we see them again together.... If U2 broke up then I will have hope and their music ...
But what will be happen if one of them die?... Ufff...
On the day that they break up, it has to end with a bang. No, a BANG!! It would have to be a huge 4 hour+ concert with like 50 songs played at least.
It's a day I'm not looking forward to. I will cry when it does happen. I won't have a band for a long time that I can buy loads of merchandise for and buy all their albums in the special edition. Tbh, I don't really like to think about it.
