Your opinion, mine is different. I like some songs on Pop but I dont think the album songs are great but the live songs are great I have to say that.
  2. Well, that could be really experimental, and continue some kind of trilogy stuff with le last one being ATYCLB-HTDAAB-NLOTH. Maybe they're really preparing something new. That would be a great surprise

  3. I agree.

Anyway, Danger Mouse might get them some fresh air. He produced some good stuff in the past. Looking more forward to this than to a reworked to death SoA. I wonder when they recorded the tracks, though.
But then again it's Bono, so it's probably 12 drum loops, guitar riffs and oh oh yeah yeah lines.

fresh is good. This explains why both Bono & The Edge both listed the Broken Bells record in their list of favourites recently.
  5. The mention of David Guetta is the most horrendous thing I could have ever imagined. Thinking of that man makes me wanna kill puppies.

    Oh, that's nice of you.

Says more about you than David I'm afraid.
  8. Relax. Your puppies are safe.

But I do take music seriously and I think bringing Guetta to the table is a very bad idea. I'm not against a "club" album but it seems to me that would be taking the easy way in the current music industry. The band might prove me wrong, I surely hope so.
  9. That might be the key:

We're fighting for relevance. Being successful is a lot easier than being relevant.

And this somehow reminds me of Pre-No Line yadda yadda:

"We may be about to do our best-ever album or we may be about to be irrelevant."

And to answer my own question when they recorded:

"Each night on this tour, we'd fly out of a show and go straight into the studio," Bono says of the Danger Mouse sessions. "Because you enter the studio with the roar of the crowd in your ears, you know what works. If you take musicians away from the stage too much, they become quite abstract in their heads. They start to use words like 'interesting'. But people don't want to see you do something interesting. They want something passionate or wild.

    Also worth noting:

Due early next year, it [the new album] will be preceded by a single in December

  10. I really like the last quote, specially if it's really related to this new album. It obviously reminds me of Zooropa - and that's good.
  11. Sounds great. But then again, EP in november, new single in December? That's a bit awkward. Maybe they should combine these two.
  12. Who speaks about new single in december?

EDIT: Ok, Yeah edited his post and added a new quote. I hadn't read it.
