1. Just saw on YouTube several members from @U2.com made their own pilgrimage to The Joshua Tree last year. Has anyone ever thought of organizing a U2Start.com journey to the Tree? I know that there is a lot of logistics to put together but I for one would love to go there with a bunch of U2 Fans that share the same passion as I do. Any thoughts?

I want to go there once for sure
  4. I thought that specific U2 tree was already dead? But the national park must be beautifull anyway

What a coincidence, I saw that same movie on youtube a few days ago, was really impressed actually
I would also love to go there, but combined with a roadtrip through America (and a couple of U2 concerts? ), but first, I have to save some money

The tree's dead indeed, but it's still there, lying on the ground, a bit scary imo

Went to the tree and Zabriske Point (where the album cover pic was shot) this past February. It was a great day out with fellow U2 fans / friends.

If you go, be respectful. Don't take anything. As the tree has already fallen, it is only a matter of time before the elements do it in. Don't exacerbate that by taking any of the tree or anything dumb like that.
  7. I went there two years ago! Been at Zabriski point and at the exact location of the Tree (according to the coordinates I found on the internet). Unfortunately I couldnt found the momorial stone that is suppose to be there in the desert somewhere. Even though it was great to be there! Also camped in Joshua Tree National Park, an amazing experience, alone in the dessert

    Momorial I couldnt find:

  8. Awesome Pics Coen I was actually stationed in the military close by to Joshua Tree National Park, but never made it out there. It has always been my dream to go out there. I know money is an issue for a lot of people here including myself but lets try to make it a goal by this time next year we can save up enough money to get a group of us to go out there! It would be fantastic! Probably bring tears to my eyes as well
  9. One of the things I want to do most.

It would be alot of money + a 12 hour plane journey? Maybe when I'm older.
  10. Wow Coen, that are some amazing pictures, the landscape is just gorgeous!
That place has something magical, it's so desolated
